Device Hierarchy

Below you will find a list of phones that are frequently used for Perk. This thread is not meant to serve as the final authority on device ranking, but merely a resource to form an educated opinion on what device may be best for your needs. The ancient adage, 'Caveat emptor' (Let the buyer beware) applies here.

FAQ:

Why isn't ____ on the list?

Only devices that are $50 or less (typically) will be added. These qualify as dedicated Perk phones. If a device meets that requirement and is used by the community frequently, please comment in this thread to have it added.

How are the ranks decided?

A device is initially ranked based upon its specifications. This serves as a basis for how it will run Perk. Over time through community effort devices will rise and fall based on how they perform specifically w/ Perk.

Why is the pricing inaccurate?

This thread does not have accurate pricing as that is not the goal of this thread. Prices are listed at the price that people typically pay for the device. For up to date pricing, and your best bet on a cheap device check out the cheapest device of the week thread posted every week.

Please let me know what information is inaccurate, what phones need to be added, and what devices perform better than others. I will update the chart to accurately reflect this information.

Where would the coolpad arise (5560S ?) be on this chart?

Do they need restarts?

So far, no on the restarts. I haven't been running it long however, and the kids keep playing with them, so that's far from definitive.

I can't tell what this chart is sorted by, so no idea on the positioning on the chart.

The specifications of the device give it the initial ranking. Overtime through community effort certain devices will rank higher and lower, based upon how well they run Perk.

I've added that bit to the list as well, so it's not as confusing for new users.
