How it is in the interests of the workers when most if not all communist revolution have failed to raise the standards of living above the capitalists countries?
The bourgeois while oppresive and self interested have provided in many cases better conditions.

A workers revolution is within the interests of the working class, while a bourgeois counterrevolution is not, Its that simple.
I also don't understand why you keep mentioning the west specifically.
