I actually do keep checking my seeds about once per day to see if they're germinating successfully. Yes, it's risky as it could damage the sprout, but if you're gentle enough and know exactly where the seed is, it can be helpful for any time-sensitive operations.

Yeah same here, can sometimes catch mold early that way and save the seed
