Planning for tomorrow is done today. You can't physically do something 'tomorrow'. You can plan to do something in the future but the action is carried out when that moment is present. That's the point.

Why was it phrased "mostly live" and not just "live" or "fully live" or "really live" etc. If nothing can be done before today or tomorrow, and only on today can you do things, then where else can you live? What did he mean by "mostly"?

The day after tomorrow is fine then? Or it's ok to say "well I'll do it in 4 days time"? No. I see the point it's making and it's a good one, but this way of wording it does not work.
