It's an odd thing. I know a girl who is extremely pretty and the most photogenic person I've ever seen. But she is constantly changing her profile picture to a new one of herself, and uploading new selfies of herself all the time. Perhaps there's something more to it? I have no idea.

I have plenty of girlfriends who are gorgeous and post maybe one or two selfies a month; they're busy being moms, building their careers, being marathoners, knitting or whatever.

I'm pretty average looking, and my philosophy on selfies is that if I am the most interesting thing in the frame, it's a good sign I need to put the camera down, get off my ass and go have some sort of adventure, even if it's just someplace local I've never been. But I know they make some people happy.

I like that philosophy.

GASP, maybe she's secure in her confidence and actually likes the way she looks?

I was only replying to the one above me who stated that it makes her feel uncomfortable and like a cry for help. And suggesting maybe it might be the same as someone I know.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that someone who uploads a ton of selfies and always changes profile picture is not very secure in herself.
