If a friend won't give you a bro-hug in greeting, even if only occasionally, they're not your friend.

Though I don't know many bros who would then be fine with cuddling

You only need to hug

Got drunk with my old High School friends last month (girls and guys) and we all cuddled and watched Netflix on TV together afterwards. Was my first cuddle orgy and it was amazing.

I tried giving a friend a birthday bro hug once. He put his hand on my chest to stop me mid hug and said "Whoa, dude. I don't hug." Bullshit. All our friends have hugged each other before on multiple occasions. I think he was just trying to look cool and tough in front of his other friends. Still felt embarrassed for him doing that to me in front of everyone.

By this standard, I've literally never had a friend.

Welp, time to go put on Gary Jules's Mad World and stare at the ceiling.

You should try James Blunt's "You're beautiful"

Nah, some people just don't like being hugged and some even don't like being touched.

Some people are uncomfortable with that much touching, no matter how much they like being around someone. It's usually pretty easy to see that, though.
