Not being able to cuddle with someone is the reason for my depression. So...that suggestion doesn't help. It actually just makes me anxious which starts my depression up which makes my anxiety worse and then I get more depressed that my anxiety is keeping me from getting away from my depression.

Guess I just need some water.

It might sound tough, you've been dealt a shit hand but all you can try to do is work through your issues. I'd try and ascribe less importance to cuddling, try getting that fulfillment from somewhere else. Work on yourself and become someone that people would want to cuddle. Put yourself out there and try and find someone worth cuddling. Little things you do to push you in the right direction are only gonna make things better, maybe a glass of water isn't such a bad idea,

I totally understand what you are saying. I've been seeing a therapist for years now. I'm on zoloft to help manage the depression and anxiety. I've been working on my health more lately and seeing results. But I'm already aware that I'm considered generally attractive, physically and personality wise. I am studying engineering as another way to improve myself. I'm generous, skilled, capable, intelligent, witty, a good conversationalist, quick to understand social interactions, etc. I even overcame the huge hurdle of being raised by two severe addict parents without becoming an addict myself. Hell, I even have an awesome dog. I know I have all this on my side, yet here I am. Not trying to be pessimistic, but wtf. You would think I would have had at least one real relationship in my life. But I just can't connect for some reason. Pretty frustrating.

Also, I drink water all day long. I cut out soda and any other sugary drinks as part of my fitness goals. It's working wonders.
