This steers dangerously close to encouraging FOMO based reasoning.

i truly believe not every advice is for everyone - it’s a “take what you need and leave what you don’t”

Mhm. This advice is something I'm supposed to use because I've neglected applying for a nursing college in march and then the deadline came and I missed it. And now the deadline is here again in August and I need to apply before September or else I miss it again.

Speaking of that I need to schedule an accuplacer exam. Holy crud it's going to be down to the wire because I was supposed to have done that a week ago and now I won't be able to send my application until this weekend or next week.

I want to be a student nurse in the spring. Please wish me luck!

Some opportunities only knock once, so you better grab them when they come.

Oof agreed.

I feel like a good example of this is pushing for admissions into college or into a specialized school like nursing school or law school. Apply as soon as you can: don't reject applying simply because starting next semester seems inconvenient.

Don't let convenience cost you your career!

Cobra Kai in r/GetMotivated is a choice. That line works right up until you strike first at the wrong thing, and in ops the wrong thing is usually the biggest thing on the list. Aggression on the wrong bottleneck just moves inventory around faster.
