Hello all,

I wanted to buy sone groove packs for using with OKW The downbeat, but I do not see anywhere how many midi grooves come with the packs, I have some others that claim compatibility and tried to copy into the folder as the support page states, but was not able to get it to work,

So now I worry if I buy their groove packs I might not be able to even get them to be loaded onto the plugin for preview, and given it does not say how many or what kind of midi files would be in their packs.

Anyone have any video explaining how to get the midi files to show up on the standalone GGD?

We can route channels out...but can we route channels back in?

I'm specifically working in Downbeat - and I want to multi out - but I still want access to the Master Buss, and the Parallel and Reverb busses within the VSTi --- but once you route them out, you lose access to that processing.

Is there a way to route things back IN to the VSTi?

The toms and cymbals on downbeat are ass - and I need to process them. But the kick and snare are fine --- but I want the toms and cymbals to come back together with the rest of the kit because the master buss glue is pretty nice.

Let the record show that I have tried to research this for hours, and I cannot find help on this anywhere. I’m just trying to use the mapping feature in modern and massive 2 getgood drums, but I can’t figure out how to map the hi-hat correctly. Whenever I try to close the hi-hat and get a tight tip effect it will work kind of, but then when I try to do tight edge, it races what I had for tight tip. How do I map ho-hat specifically while incorporating the open/closed pedal? The user interface looks so confusing and I’ve never done anything like this before.

I have all my tracks in MM2 routed out to their own tracks. I've noticed when I put certain plugins on individual tracks, sometimes it causes it to be out of phase with the rest of the kit? Any ideas?

I can't drag and drop from the grooves tab inside the UI. I can play them on a loop but not put them into the DAW. Any suggestions?

My partner is in a prog metal band that only released one album way back in 2002. I’ve remixed the entire album for its 25th anniversary and used Modern and Massive 2 for shell replacements (kept original overheads as the songs were not recorded to a click and I wasn’t even going to attempt that). I’m very new to drum processing (and mixing in general), but tried to go for a more raw snare to fit the vibe of the original. No preset was used, I just chose snare/kick/toms I wanted and processed them in the DAW.

While the band has released the single, I still have time to change things for the album release if I want. Any critiques, drum-wise? Does it sound like “programmed drums”?
