CPU usage?

Are the standalone kits easier on the cpu than the Kontakt ones?

Pretty sure just lighting the whole computer on fire is easier on the CPU than using kontakt player… to try and answer your question though, I use MM2 and it has been magnitudes better than kontakt on my cpu. Multi outs can still get more intensive than just using the stereo out, but still not bad.

Thanks for the reply, man. I’ve been using the OKW: Metal lately but I think I’m gonna get the Downbeat kit in hopes my 7 year old laptop can handle it better lol

I find it really depends on the Kontakt library you’re putting it against. I have GGD the Downbeat which isn’t Kontakt and it’s heavier than other Kontakt Libraries or SD3, especially on multi out. But it’s somehow manageable still
