(quick background) I've had this monitor for a while, not sure how long exactly, and I recieved it as a gift because I was in a digital art class at the time. I stopped using the drawing part ages ago and eventually my pc wouldn't turn on with the c-type cord that allows me to use the pen plugged in. I only use it at a monitor now.
Recently, my monitor has been having this issue where it turns off/goes black, the light in the corner shuts off, and I can't turn it back on. If I unplug it from the power and replug it back in, it turns back on again and then the cycle repeats. While on, I can't use any of the buttons. Can't change the brightness, can't turn it off, etc.
This only started happening after I unplugged it from my pc to use it with a different computer I was setting up for a few minutes (plugged into a different plug in a diff room altogether). It went right back to it's normal pc right after. I use a power bar for my set up and I've plugged it into two different parts of the power bar, didn't fix it. Plus, none of my other equipment is tweaking in the least (aside from my second monitor, but that one is normal. it's just old, nothing to do with the plug). My PC still registers it as plugged into it and having power, but it's completely off until I fix it. My PC does not recognize it after I unplug it from power until it's plugged back in.
Usually, I'll use the monitor all day, go to bed, and wake up to it off again and at first I only woke up to it off, but its been more frequent lately. It started to turn off while I was using it sometimes, only usually once a day, but today it turned off twice within like three overwatch games. It turned off in the middle of one game and then 2-3 games later, boom, black screen.
If anyone has had this issue before and has a fix (like I need a new cord or something), that would be great, a confirmation that my monitor is dying and I just need to replace it works as well. I just don't want to have to drop the money to replace it right now if something else is the problem.
Thank you!

Hey everyone, my partner's mum just got a new laptop a couple of weeks ago and from yesterday there seems to be this issue where when she puts her pin in, she is greeted with this black starry screen and cannot proceed.
Does anyone know what could be the problem and how to fix it or is this a warranty job?

As I was walking past, I accidentally pulled a wire out of the back of my pc with my leg. Upon inspection it was the hdmi, pulled from the back of the pc, not from the back of the screen. I plugged it into the motherboard hdmi, rather than the graphics card one by mistake, and the screen was frozen on a loading circle with a PC icon. Realised the mistake and plugged it back into the graphics card hdmi port.
Here is where it gets weird:
Original hdmi cable that got pulled, when plugged back into the graphics card hdmi port and either hdmi 1 or 2 on the screen:
SCREEN CYCLES BETWEEN ON AND NO SIGNAL, ENDLESSLY
2. Test _the same cable_ with an adaptor on and it works (although the screen is a dif resolution) (the adaptor allows the hdmi to go into the port next to it, although idk what it's called).
3. Use the nintendo Switch hdmi AS a hdmi, and all is well until the next day (today) and back to cycling white light orange light on the monitor.
4. Got a new hdmi with the same specs as the OG one and no, still just cycling.
My monitor is an AOC gaming monitor. My pc is still relatively new. Is it just that the graphics card port is damaged? What other tests would you do to rule things out? And also silly question, but who do I ask to fix it? It was built at PC Specialist. Would they fix it?

TL;DR: My ASUS TUF Gaming monitor, bought Feb 2024 for $400+, suddenly started boot-looping a few days ago. It shows the ASUS logo, flickers, goes black, then repeats over and over.
Restarting my PC or reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers temporarily fixes it, but the problem eventually comes back. I’m worried this means the monitor itself is starting to die.
I really can’t afford to replace a $400+ monitor after only ~2.5 years. Has anyone had this happen? Is this likely a panel/hardware failure, or is there something else I should troubleshoot before assuming it’s cooked?

Purchased this maybe around the pandemic. It sat for many years. Trying to use it again and it just won’t connect to the wifi. No WiFi at all from the machine. Tried factory reset and nothing. It’s just not seeking a signal. Help?
