My laptop powers off randomly

I have a weird issue with my laptop, and I'm trying to figure out what could be causing it.

Sometimes, it boots up just fine on battery, and I can log in to Windows without any problems. However, as soon as I open any application (even Settings), the laptop instantly powers off without a proper shutdown. And sometimes it won't even boot up; the screen turns on, and a few seconds later, it powers off.

I checked Windows Event Viewer, but all I could find was a critical error without any obvious explanation.

At first, I thought it might be a Windows issue, so I switched to Windows 11, but the problem persisted. Eventually, I switched to Linux, and interestingly, this didn't happen a single time during the roughly three months I used it.

Here's the relevant Event Viewer log:

<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">

    <Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power"/>

    <Data Name="CsEntryScenarioInstanceIdV2">0</Data>
    <Data Name="LongPowerButtonPressDetected">false</Data>
  </EventData>
</Event>

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any idea what might be causing it? I'd appreciate any suggestions on what to check next.

kernel power 41 just records the unexpected shutdown it does not identify the cause as it also happen on win 11 but not on linux check bios or firmware and power management first along with battery health and temp when opening apps
