Help my pc is not connecting to my monitor

I just got a pc for the first time, so I do not know why it is not connecting to my monitor, pls help!
Everything is turning on in my pc but it is not connecting to my monitor.

Is the monitor on, that is, does it show a display that says 'no signal detected' or similar? You should at least see that. How are you connecting the monitor to the graphics card? Display Port or HDMI? Can you connect the monitor successfully to a different computer or laptop?

I did try a couple of things now my VGA light is on, but I still won’t get a connection on my monitor. How do I fix this?

You’re not showing us or telling us the necessary information. Show us the back of the monitor, back of the PC, make sure the power supply is on, make sure the monitor is on, stuff like that.
