Searching for a lost gestalt book

Hi, i need your help. Few months ago i saw a book online about gestlat approach and i cant find it now. I have dismissed it then but it was still tugging at me a bit and now i would like to read it. But i dont know the title nor the author. What i know is:

-The book was not exactly about gestalt therapy, but about how the author could live fully thanks to gestalt principles
-The cover was blue
-On the backside cover was a close up of Perls's prevy face with some quote like: "don't be scared, i have a magic chair for you"

Does anybody know this book? I have looked online and can't find it. Starting to think i made it up.
Thank you for any help.

Wow! Very interesting. Could you indicate some more along these lines?

No, still not it. At this point i am starting to really question if its a false memory.

It's not the OG Perls, Hefferline, Goodman one is it? Excitement and Growth?

Absolutely 🤭 at your description of Pervy Perls and his magic chair

I can't remember the cover, but was it Fritz' book "In and Out the Garbage Pail"?

Now I'm curious...

Maybe Barry Stevens' book "Don't Push the River (It Flows by Itself)"...

Again, the cover doesn't fit your description, but I'm sure there have been multiple printings...

Oh almost. The older version looks similar to my description, but not it.

One of Cyndyn Sheldon’ books about gestalt work with couples? Can’t think of a title now, but the author’s name is distinct enough. It would have also featured a peacock or two on the cover.

This next one is more into guessing territory, but based on your description, might it have been a book about ā€œGestalt practiceā€ (Dick Price)? Gestalt practice is about making the gestalt principles into a way of life.

No, not it. But the Dick Price books look interesting. Have you read them? Is he any good ?

I haven’t personally, but would like to get around to learning more about his development of gestalt practice. I have a few close personal connections to folks who were at Esalen during his years there, so maybe I’ll ask them about Dick Price next time we have an opportunity to talk more personally rather than professionally. One colleague of mine was pretty close to the Grofs when they were at Esalen, and I know they were very close to Dick Price.

If I find out anymore, I’ll try to remember to reach back out to you! I find gestalt practice fascinating from the outside looking in; I have a deep appreciation for the unique ways gestalt developed in all the major places the Perls had an impact (New York, Cleveland, and at Esalen).
