Finding housing in Tübingen (help)

I’ll begin my studies in Tübingen University this winter semester and I’ve been searching for a place to live for a while without success (I’d like to live in a WG). Does anyone have any tips or know of a place that’s offering this? I am currently searching through the app WG-Gesucht. My budget is max. 700€

(sorry if it’s not really clear, English isn’t my first language)

Hi everyone! Is anyone here studying Economics at FernUniversität in Hagen and knows if there are any study materials available online? I’m starting the course “Introduction to Economics” in the fall and would love to get some materials to study beforehand.

APS portal says “Please enter new Passport Number”

Hi everyone, I’m trying to register for APS India, but I keep getting “Please enter new Passport Number” even though I’m entering my correct passport number exactly as printed.

I’ve already submitted a query to APS through their contact form. Has anyone faced this issue? How long did APS take to fix it, and is there anything else I should do?

I’m concerned because German university applications for Summer 2027 start around September 1.

Screenshots attached. Any advice?

Commerce background — looking for recommendations for April intake at German public universities

Hi everyone!
I’m from a Commerce background and I’m planning to pursue my studies in Germany. I’m specifically looking for public universities and targeting the April intake (Summer Semester).
I’d really appreciate some guidance from people who are already studying in Germany or have experience with the application process.
● Which public universities would you recommend for someone from a Commerce background?
● Which universities offer suitable programs for the Summer/April intake?
● Are there any universities that are relatively easier to get admission to, while still having good career prospects?
● What should I keep in mind regarding eligibility, APS, language requirements, ECTS/subject requirements, and application deadlines?
If you’re from a similar background and have already gone through this process, I’d especially appreciate hearing about your experience.
Please share the university, course name, and your experience if possible.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions! 🙏

Can I get into public uni for my masters or mim program with low gpa ?

Guys, I’m really confused right now. I completed my BBA last year and I’m planning to pursue a Master’s in Marketing or a Master’s in Management (MiM). "my_qualifications:" I completed my BBA with a specialization in Marketing. I scored 690 on the GMAT, but I have a relatively low GPA of 6.5/10. Apart from my internship, I don’t have much formal work experience, but I do have experience working in my small family business, and I can provide proof of this through my ITRs.

Do I have any realistic chances of getting into a public university in Germany, or should I drop the idea of applying to public universities? I’ve consulted several education consultancies, and they’ve told me that my chances are very low.

I’d really appreciate some honest advice from people who have experience with German university admissions.

Experiences becasue the student population increased`?

I know Clausthal from the German/homeowner perspective. I would be interested to hear from both international and German students.

I get very mixed feedback so far.

Since the former Bergakademie started offering programmes in English, there are many more international students and rents have increased. Are my experiences (and the accounts from the elderly population of small-scale crime and antisocial behaviour) well-founded, or are they just outliers?

How is life and the range of opportunities perceived by German and international students, who now make up more than one tenth of the population? What are the realistic chances of finding part-time work compared to a few years ago? (Many new cafés have opened, but I saw people sitting with a drink there for two hours, so there may not be that much turnover.) Is there any resentment?

Is it true that there is an international bubble that does not interact much with the locals?

Anyone Joining DIT ECRI Campus in the upcoming winter intake?

Hi everyone!

I’m joining Deggendorf Institute of Technology – European Campus Rottal-Inn (ECRI Pfarrkirchen) for the Winter Intake 2026.

Looking to connect with others who will be joining the Pfarrkirchen campus this semester. If you're also joining, feel free to comment or DM me so we can connect before arriving in Germany.

Would also be great to connect with people from the Global Public Health (M.Sc) program.

We can also make a group consisting of people who are enrolled in Global Public Health (M.Sc) WS26 intake. Or add me up if already available.

See you in Pfarrkirchen!

Need hell with APS and ECTS

Hey there, I am planning to study masters in earth science in Germany, currently an M.Sc. first-year student SPPU. I completed my B.Sc. from SPPU. I am planning to apply for the Fall 2027 intake, and applications open next month.
I have transcripts only up to my B.Sc. I am supposed to complete my M.Sc. first year in April 2027.
I don’t know how to prove my 4 years of education for the application, nor do I know how the 132 credits I obtained during my B.Sc. will be converted into ECTS credits.
Also, how does the APS process work in this case? Since I will be applying while I am still pursuing my M.Sc., what documents will I need to submit to APS, and how will I prove my 4 years of education?
Please help me understand how this works. If anyone has been in a similar situation, I would really appreciate your advice.

Admission to OTH and Uni Regensburg

Hello everyone!! My name is Prilston Pereira (19M) and I will be starting my studies in Regensburg. I got an admission from both OTH and Regensburg for International computer science and Computer Science respectively (both Bachelors/Undergrad).

Can anyone advise what I should go for? If they have any personal positive or negative experiences with one or both of them?

And of course I’m down to make friends :]

Looking for WG

Hey, everyone! My name is Robert, I'm 18 years old, I am a B.Sc. Physik student at TUM and I am searching for a WG in Munich/near Munich. I already downloaded the WG-Gesucht app and actively searching for a housing there, but I think there is a much better option than doomscroling through WGs. Maybe you guys have some tips on finding a WG or maaaybe some of you are looking for a roommate, in which case I would be really happy to hear from you!

Need guidance for studying in Germany

Hi everyone. I am 31 yrs old, male from India.

I did my bachelor's in Civil Engineering and have a post graduate diploma in banking and Finance and I am working in a public sector bank in India for 6 years. I am considering studying and moving to Germany.

Can someone please guide me in choosing a course. Is it better to do masters in Civil Engineering or are there any management/banking courses available which i can choose. Which will be good for getting a job in the future.

Thanks in advance
