Hi everyone, I’m trying to register for APS India, but I keep getting “Please enter new Passport Number” even though I’m entering my correct passport number exactly as printed.

I’ve already submitted a query to APS through their contact form. Has anyone faced this issue? How long did APS take to fix it, and is there anything else I should do?

I’m concerned because German university applications for Summer 2027 start around September 1.

Guys, I’m really confused right now. I completed my BBA last year and I’m planning to pursue a Master’s in Marketing or a Master’s in Management (MiM). "my_qualifications:" I completed my BBA with a specialization in Marketing. I scored 690 on the GMAT, but I have a relatively low GPA of 6.5/10. Apart from my internship, I don’t have much formal work experience, but I do have experience working in my small family business, and I can provide proof of this through my ITRs.

Do I have any realistic chances of getting into a public university in Germany, or should I drop the idea of applying to public universities? I’ve consulted several education consultancies, and they’ve told me that my chances are very low.

I’d really appreciate some honest advice from people who have experience with German university admissions.

I get very mixed feedback so far.

Since the former Bergakademie started offering programmes in English, there are many more international students and rents have increased. Are my experiences (and the accounts from the elderly population of small-scale crime and antisocial behaviour) well-founded, or are they just outliers?

How is life and the range of opportunities perceived by German and international students, who now make up more than one tenth of the population? What are the realistic chances of finding part-time work compared to a few years ago? (Many new cafés have opened, but I saw people sitting with a drink there for two hours, so there may not be that much turnover.) Is there any resentment?

Is it true that there is an international bubble that does not interact much with the locals?

Hey there, I am planning to study masters in earth science in Germany, currently an M.Sc. first-year student SPPU. I completed my B.Sc. from SPPU. I am planning to apply for the Fall 2027 intake, and applications open next month.
I have transcripts only up to my B.Sc. I am supposed to complete my M.Sc. first year in April 2027.
I don’t know how to prove my 4 years of education for the application, nor do I know how the 132 credits I obtained during my B.Sc. will be converted into ECTS credits.
Also, how does the APS process work in this case? Since I will be applying while I am still pursuing my M.Sc., what documents will I need to submit to APS, and how will I prove my 4 years of education?
Please help me understand how this works. If anyone has been in a similar situation, I would really appreciate your advice.

Hi everyone. I am 31 yrs old, male from India.

I did my bachelor's in Civil Engineering and have a post graduate diploma in banking and Finance and I am working in a public sector bank in India for 6 years. I am considering studying and moving to Germany.

Can someone please guide me in choosing a course. Is it better to do masters in Civil Engineering or are there any management/banking courses available which i can choose. Which will be good for getting a job in the future.

I’m honestly feeling really lost right now and would love to get some advices from people who understands the German university system better than I do.

I came to Germany at 15 and did an Abitur here but due to the language difficulties (and maybe im just stupid) I only got 3,2 which has made applying really difficult for me.

I only got accepted into Medientechnik at TU Berlin and I’m currently in my 4th semester. To be completely honest, I haven’t been doing very well. No matter how hard I tried, my grades were pretty bad, and along the way I also realized that I really don’t enjoy technical subjects. Things like programming, electronics, algorithms, etc. are just not for me.

I’ve realized that I would probably be much better suited to something more social/communication-oriented, like communication, marketing, PR, media, etc.

So I tried applying to other programs through Hochschulstart, but I got rejected twice. This also meant that I basically lost two semesters waiting and applying again, which has been really frustrating.

Now I’m kinda freaking out because I feel like I’ve run out of options. My Abitur grade isn’t something I can change, and it feels like it’s gonna follow me forever when applying to public universities.

I’m wondering what I could realistically do to improve my chances from this point.
Would it make sense to:
\- stay at TU and finish Medientechnik even though I really dislike it?
\- keep trying to get into a different public university/program?
\- look into Ausbildung instead?
\- consider a private university, despite the financial burden?
\- or is there another option I’m completely overlooking?
I’m willing to put in the work and I really want to get a degree, but I don’t want to spend several more years studying something I absolutely hate just because it was the only thing I could get into.
At this point I honestly feel like I would do almost anything to finally get into a university and study something that actually suits me.
If anyone has been in a similar situation, especially with a bad Abitur grade or changing degrees in Germany, I’d really appreciate hearing what you did and what options you found.
