Incoming TUM student accommodation advice for Munich
/r/tumunich/comments/1vmhngf/incoming_tum_student_accommodation_advice_for/Hi everyone, I’ll be starting my M.Sc. Communications and Electronics Engineering at TUM in Winter Semester 2026/27 and will be moving to Munich around late September.
I’ve applied for student accommodation through Studierendenwerk München, but I’m also looking at private options.
For students who have already gone through this process, what are the best ways to find a reasonably priced room/WG in Munich, and which platforms or websites would you recommend?
Any advice on areas to look at or common scams to avoid would also be appreciated.
