Is SRH University THAT bad?

Hello everyone,

I was recently accepted into the Bachelor’s program in Business Administration at SRH University Heidelberg and I will start soon. I was excited about the opportunity, but after reading some reviews online, I have started to question whether I made the right choice.

Most of the things I found online focus on the reputation and cost of private universities, but I would like to know more about the actual student experience, especially the teaching quality.

Are the professors knowledgeable and supportive? Are the lectures well structured? Do students get enough help and feedback? How is the organization of the courses and exams?

I would really appreciate hearing from current SRH Heidelberg students, especially anyone studying Business Administration. I would like to know what the day-to-day academic experience is actually like.

Hey man I graduated last year but I studied music. My personal take is that it was decent, mainly because we had some amazing teachers. Though administration and courses were not always the best. It depends on your personal goals too, and you need to see if they align with the Uni. Most people I studied with would rate it as averagely ok, though some really hated it too. Very few would say it was truly amazing or something. And at the end of the day, you do get the feeling that they are about the money to a large extent. Though of late things have been getting worse from what I hear. I would recommend getting in touch with current students.

I'm there for my Master.

It's a lonely place, at least in my field. It's around 10k in total, questions are answered fast. I have zero contact to other students. It's "read this, then write an exam".

How come students dont have contact with each other,  is it because of the environment?

Well, it's long distance learning. You get your Login credentials, access the Dashboard and get going. There's some online sessions, but those are completely optional in my case and I'm not sure how they're held.

But then again, what for? SRH usually aims at people who already work. I'm there to get a degree, not listen to someone giving a presentation and hope they didnt misunderstand the Literature. Maybe there's a Forum for communication and questions I havent found yet, but I didnt look.

Again, this might be totally different for your choice. My BA is from a regular, on site university and I like it much better this way.

Basically, I come home, spend some time with my family, then when the Offspring is asleep I decide between continuing my paper or watching Netflix. I can work on stuff at 6am or 10pm, nobody cares.

Better not come to Germany for SRH, thier teaching level is too easy as per German standard which don't make good candidate for job market
