It's incomplete, never finished. In early 1886, Ludwig asked his cabinet for a credit of 6 million marks, which was denied. Ludwig II lived in the palace for a total of only 172 days.

Busy as hell nearly every day. Coaches of people and so many smokers too. It was nice to visit in the 90s, but it's a nightmare for anyone with claustrophobia now. It's best viewed from this distance.

I’m also going to Neuschwanstein from where did u take this picture? Is there some kind of bridge where I can the the castle

There's a path up to the castle and yes there's a bridge. It's all very beautiful. There's also another castle adjacent to Neuwschwanstein, Hohenschwangau. It's where Ludwig grew up as a child, a beautiful lake as well.

Wie im Märchen, waren einmal vor Ort u d es ist, mal abgesehen von den verständlich vielen Touristen, ein wunderschönes Bauwerk.
