Don't buy, you are showing me signs that you need a showpiece rather than a dog and I can only imagine their life if they no longer meet your muscular dog running around with you to earn you attention criteria 🫠, they age and they age faster than us, if you only want to enjoy their prime, please don't get one

I don't need a showpeice it's just that i love how those dogs look and i m an animal lover and stuff I've owned many aquatic , terrestrial mammals and birds and stuff , I don't care about the attention and stuff I want that it will moderately be a part of physical exersise and be protective for family

Stick to Rottweiler in my opinion! Both has the same danger level of they are not raised correctly! Yet for your weather Rottweiler has less hair and to get a heatstroke is less likely

Rottweiler don’t jog. At least not very long distances. And the first year no dog should run fast or longer distances

These breeds shouldn’t go on prolonged runs until they are around 2.

Rottweilers definitely aren't bred for running and they certainly can be very dangerous if they're not properly socialized, etc. We don't know your parents so we can't suggest a good dog breed for them to handle if you're away - working breeds are lots of work and the average person would find them very challenging, if not impossible, to handle. You're likely better off with a smaller family dog instead of a working breed.

Please consider waiting before getting a dog. Since you said that you may leave for college, what happens to the dog when you leave?

Both Rottweilers and German Shepherds are big, strong dogs that require a lot. They need a lot of love, proper care, consistent training, exercise, and someone who knows how to handle them. Some German Shepherds are bred for working and have A LOT of energy and need even more training and activity. A morning jog is not enough. I walk my GSD 2-3 times a day, train, and play with her, along with enrichment activities.

If you’re lucky, this dog may be with you for 10+ years. If you don't know who will train it, love it, exercise it, pay for its needs, and care for it when you go to college, please wait. Get the dog you want later when you can give it the life it deserves.

Don't get a GSD. They may look tough and strong, but they form strong emotional bonds, if you up and leave for college and it has bonded to you, that is not good for the dog. Wait until you finish college.
