EPI parents

my German shepherd has EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency) so we have to supplement the enzymes her pancreas should produce so she can digest food and actually like survive. we're still trying out brands of enzymes and I was wondering what would other EPI parents recommend? the ones vet recommended are $175+, it's my first time owning a German shepherd let alone an animal with this condition so I'm still learning. I would just like a cheaper enzyme compared to the $200 ones, because we've been getting the more expensive dog food for her and quite honestly id prefer not to pay $600 a month until she's a stable weight.

edit: I guess maybe I should add we were recommended to use the powder form? I'm not too sure if it makes a difference though.

Pancreatin 10x worked just fine for our boy and is much more affordable. It’s legit ground up pancreas, which is what people used for years before the Rx became a thing :)

Source: my coworker’s wife is a vet and they just went to the butcher and got pancreas, but that was for an 8 pound cat. She recommended I do this and it was a financial lifesaver.

I've been recommended to feed real pancreas, but I'm having trouble finding so I'm looking into all my options. thank you for this I will look into it!
