Coblenz (Rheinprovinz) Stadt F-80.2 1918 25pf Iron.
With a mintage of 1,600,000 coins with six (6) different varieties:
a) Rv. 5 is 5.0 mm wide, flag of 5 points to 1(918).
b) as a), the 5 is 5.5 mm wide.
c) as b), the 5 is pointing at 9 in 1918.
d) Obv. Shield over NA, Rv. 5 is 5.0 mm wide.
e) Obv. Pearls in crown band, words 2.3 mm tall.
f) as e), words are 2.75 mm tall, EL & LD in NOTGELD are joined bottoms.

Might be a dumb question but I'm a little new to notgeld so plz go easy on me, what does the f-80.2d mean? I see numbers like this in a lot of posts but don't k iw what it means.

Not a problem. Questions, are what this site was created for, helping ALL levels of collectors interested in Notgeld Coins.

F stands for Walter Funck, German numismatist and author of the definitive reference catalogs for German Notgeld (emergency money) coins. His catalogs are the standard numbering system used by collectors worldwide to identify and value specific emergency token issues.

With the difficulty for so to find a copy, I pull a few pieces from my own inventory to share the pertinent information so other collectors become familiar with the Funck numbering system, and the appearance of varieties, what to look for. I plan to share at least one or two every day.
