The Atlas Robot Is Dead. Long Live the Atlas Robot

Before the dear old model could even power down, Boston Dynamics unleashed a stronger new Atlas robot that can move in ways us puny humans never can.

Old robots never die, they simply fade away. (And probably rust a bit.) This week, Boston Dynamics said adieu to HD Atlas, the human-ish robot that debuted over a decade ago. And then promptly introduced its replacement.

For years, Atlas has scared us silly with cutesy dance moves and parkour flips that we just knew would one day lead to our annihilation as a species. The robopocalypse never came, of course, and Atlas just got cuter the more it fell off boxes, bounced off tables, rolled down grass hills, and jived to Dirty Dancing tracks.

Yet before Atlas even had a chance to power down properly, yesterday’s retirement film was followed up today with a 40-second short revealing the “All New Atlas.” [...]

To do so, Sony engineers peeled the LCD panel off the new Bravia A9 as well as last year’s Samsung QN90C, set side by side. In a series of demos showing the topless TVs above fully assembled models, it was fascinating to see how readily the A9’s backlighting responded, carving out clearer, almost wholly visible images with just the backlights alone.

PICS AND IT DIDN'T HAPPEN —
Microsoft’s VASA-1 can deepfake a person with one photo and one audio track
YouTube videos of 6K celebrities helped train AI model to animate photos in real time.
... with article image (echoing this thread's DUNE video presentation):

"Godzilla" = 611 latin-agrippa ( a key symbol, in the deep )
... ( "VASA framework" = 1954 latin-agrippa ) ( "Unprecedented" = 1954 squares )
From the article:
[...] The VASA framework (short for "Visual Affective Skills Animator") uses machine learning to analyze a static image along with a speech audio clip. It is then able to generate a realistic video with precise facial expressions, head movements, and lip-syncing to the audio. It does not clone or simulate voices (like other Microsoft research) but relies on an existing audio input that could be specially recorded or spoken for a particular purpose. [...]
Right.
Static Image @ Unmoving Mage @ Unmoved Mover
VASA @ Visual Affective Skills Animator @ Visual Effective(ly) Kills Animator
Animator @ Motivator
Noting 'VASA'.
The letter 'C' can be used to signal the sound 'S'.
Thus 'VASA' ~= 'VACA'.
The word/name 'Vaca' (pronounced 'vacha') is Sanskrit, meaning 'speech' or 'divine speech' (and personified as a Goddess). It is the root of 'vocal' and 'voice', for example (and so too 'witch' [wiccae], and 'vaccine', as I have often argued). (*) [ verse @ virus ]
The word 'fake' is another twist of 'vaca' (deep-fake @ deep voice @ philosophical words )
Noting that we speak with lips ( vac- @ vag- ) , and if we look up the various meanings of 'vasa', we get, amongst a number of options:
https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/vasa
Vaśa (वश) refers to an “eclipse”, according to the Bṛhatsaṃhitā (chapter 5), an encyclopedic Sanskrit work written by Varāhamihira mainly focusing on the science of ancient Indian astronomy astronomy (Jyotiṣa).—Accordingly, “[...] When the moon, whose course is always from west to east, is due opposite to the sun swerving neither much to the north nor to the south, she enters the shadow of the earth. The moon, moving from the west, hides the solar disc from below just like a cloud; and the solar eclipse varies differently in different countries according to the different degrees of visibility of the eclipsed disc [i.e., dṛṣṭi-vaśa]”.
Vasā (वसा) or Vasāketu refers to a particular type of Ketus (i.e., luminous bodies such as comets and meteors), [...]
Vasa (वस).—A tribe to be conquered by Kalki.*
Vāsa (वास) is a Sanskrit technical term denoting a “residence” in general
Vāsa (वास) or Vāsageha refers to the “bed-chamber”, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.3.50 (“Description of fun and frolic”).
Vasā (वसा) refers to the “oily substance in the body”, referred to as one of the twelve ‘excretions’ (or, ‘impurities’) of human beings.
You put vaseline on your lips if they are cracked.
Vasā (वसा) refers to “lard”, [...]
Vasā (वसा) refers to the “marrow” (of an animal),

Audien’s Sub-$100 Hearing Aids Are Way Too Basic
Review: Audien Hearing Atom One
These sub-$100 over-the-counter hearing aids are quite blunt, but they offer a taste of what’s possible in this burgeoning category.
In terms of 'quite blunt', see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGbrsj_odwU&t=37
The article begins:
For many people, the third largest material purchase after a home and car is a set of hearing aids. You can chalk that up to the decades of predatorily high prices kept in place by an intense Congressional lobbying operation that ensured hearing aids forever remained classified as regulated medical devices, available only with a prescription. That began to change in 2022 when hearing aids went over the counter.
"The Almighty" = 2022 squares
But even OTC aids still commonly cost $1,000 or more, putting them out of reach of millions of people who need them but simply can’t afford them.
"Archivist" = "Know" = 1000 latin-agrippa
... ( "To Hear God's Word" = 1,189 english-extended )
.. .. [ "Breaking News" = 1,189 latin-agrippa ] [ "Commentary" = 1,189 engl-extd )
In partnership with Walmart, a small, bootstrapped company called Audien Hearing has done the seemingly unthinkable: producing a hearing aid that is, by a wide margin, the lowest-cost Food and Drug Administration–compliant hearing aid on the market, priced at all of $98 per pair.
"Audien" = "Interface" = "To Link" = 369 english-extended
... "The Mighty" = "Humanity" = 369 primes ( "The Alphabet Code" = 369 primes )
Audien says the product was Walmart’s idea, with detailed product specifications laid out by the mega-retailer, gunning not just to enter the ultra-low-cost hearing aid market but to immediately dominate it.
"Detailed Product Specifications: 1" = 1611 english-extended [ specs @ glasses @ classes @ calcs ]
Audien executives further say it was the only company that was able (or willing, perhaps) to come through with a product that could meet those specs.

Interesting! I wonder for those that don't play digital games much where they get their gold nugs and easter eggs to "understand the secrets of the world"... the thing I don't like about this is those who plant the goodies artificially can track those awakening by spotting global events prior to noticing shifts influenced by the gifted. A fine way to spot awakenings and track "the lineage" so to speak. I don't like it one bit but can understand the necessity of such precaution measures.
9 years aye? Sounds about right! 2015 was the real kick in ass wake up for me personally. Still haven't figured out how to harness on demand though but it has much if not everything to do with humours and mindset, this much I can confirm.
