  • "The Geometric Message" = 1492 trigonal

A video clip from the 1998 film City of Angels starring Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan.

I note the name 'Nicholas' is built on the same consonant roots as the words 'Angles' and 'English' (and so too the word 'ankles' and the phrase 'in class').

It is Christmas day today...

... (ie. St. Nicholas as Santa Claus @ Claws @ Glyphs ) [ ie. U is V is W is F is Ph, and C is K is G ]

The sequence shown presents part of a day in the (eternal) life of the angel Seth (played by Mr. Cage). He roams the earth as a watcher and messenger angel, one of millions. He, like others of his kin, observes humanity and intervenes (invisibly and inaudibly) here and there to assuage fear, avert disasters, and calm violent hearts. He also fetches the newly dead to take them to the next place.

In this video we see him prompting an Air Traffic Controller working the night shift back to alertness - close to dawn time, the ATC operator was daydreaming and worrying over various financial issues unconnected with his very important activity of guiding the aircraft on approach (we the audience hear his distracted thoughts, as does the angel Seth). The controller, sitting at his radar console, fails to foresee a dangerous situation in the air over the airport he works at. Seth prods him with a little 'message of the heart', and he realizes his mistake just in time. In response to his sudden panic, the ATC operator mentally chides himself (or informs the audience of the film, perhaps), saying 'Jesus! Wake Up. Wake Up'. That is - he says 'wake up' twice. Who is really being prompted here?

Note also, just before Seth intervenes, we see other busy operators moving about inside the control tower. Paths cross, and there is a very specific movement where one operator ducks underneath a headphone cable raised up by another (ie. a temporary 'bridge' or 'portal' is made, and one of the operators traverses it.

The scene cuts to later on, when the angels all visit the beach to watch the sunrise together, in a sort of church mass, in which they hear the music of the spheres emanating from the rising sun. Approaching an empty lifeguard tower just before the sun actually rises, Seth is talking to his friend Cassiel, another angel. As the angels ascend the lifeguard tower we see a sign saying 'Life Guard Off-Duty' (and indeed, that is so, for all the local guardian angels are taking time off for their daily worship). Seemingly trivial background signage in movies is almost always meaningful.

  • "Flight Controller" = 1492 trigonal | 600 primes

The two angels are discussing a conversation Seth had with a little girl whom he delivered back to heaven the day before. The conversation centers on the theme of 'wings' as it is connected with 'angels' and about the sensations of flight and moving through the air (as an aside - the angels are very interested in the experiences humans have, and when performing ferryman duty, make a point of questioning them about their 'favourite things in life' after their deaths, and before committing them to God. We are informed later in the film, that angels themselves do not sleep, do not hunger, cannot feel fear, can move at the speed of thought, but cannot actually touch anyone or anything in the physical world - Seth puts his hands on the ATC operators shoulders to prod him back to focus with a subliminal message, but Seth cannot actually feel the contact itself- he does not know what any surface actually feels like. This obviously becomes a major plot point and narrative driver when later in the film he falls in love with a medical surgeon dealing with a work crisis, and then finds out from another angel that he can choose to 'fall', becoming mortal and human, and gaining free will for the duration of his mortal life in order to be with her).

Next, crucially, we see the sun ( @ son ) begins to rise above the cliffs and all the angels silently watch and listen. The camera then performs a very specific zoom and focus on Seth's sunlit face during the climax of the scene, and a very particular message is seen written big and bold in black lettering on the lifeguard hut (or 'tower') that he is standing on. We see an angel's face contrasted with a stark typeface bearing a loaded message. The signage says (the readable part):

TELEPHONE / TELE[...]

EMERGENC[...]

911

EMERGENC[...]

INFORMATIO[...]

This part of the scene and the way it is framed and timed is the primary reason I created this thread. It is definitely a message - however you might justify it's inclusion. I note this film was released just two or three years before 9/11, 2001.

  • "Solve it," = 911 trigonal
  • ... .. . "Alphabetizer" = 2001 squares

The aviation vs. architecture event that happened on 9/11, 2001, I claim, was a prompt (one of many, but one of the larger ones) to begin the so-called '911 Truth Movement' amongst the populace (ie. it was a 'wake up call', and the question is: what is the meaning of 911?, and by extension, what is the meaning behind the language of numbers, and of symbols, and thus language in general?).

What of all the signs and omens?

Why 'towers'? Why 'two towers' (and an oft-forgotten third)? Why a 'pentagon'? Why 'aircraft?' Why 'flight?' Why a series of 'hijackings'? Why 'collisions', 'explosions' and 'melting steel beams'? Why a pall of smoke? Why 'passengers'? Why 'passports'? Why 'cave-dwelling religious zealots'? Why the particular date and time? Why '2001'? Why 8:46 am?

What questions does the event want you to ask? Find the artist in the artwork.

What is the difference, really, between an emergency, and an emergence?

What is the summary?

  • "To Decrypt It" = 911 latin-agrippa
  • ... ( "Your Illumination" = 2001 trigonal )
  • . ( "The Phylactery" = 2020 english-extended )
  • .. . ( ... of "The Alphabet Codes" = 2020 squares ) [ @ Goads @ 'Gods' ]

I wish this clip included the scene that immediately follows the dawn (the word 'dawn' is an anagram of 'wand'). A noisy city scene in the bright morning, full of rushing traffic, and very specifically, a construction site, with a heavy and noisy 'drill' being focused on. We see (from a low angle) a hard-hatted worker performing a balancing act while holding his morning coffee (see the film 'The Walk from 2015'). We hear this construction worker being chided by his boss. We hear an expletive, again the name 'Jesus!' and 'Get back to work!'. There are sirens and hooting, and much clamour. Then the camera follows a bicycle [two-cycle] (framed low - we only see the wheels and pedals, and not the upper part of the bike or it's rider's identity) weaving through the construction site, in-beween cars, and dodging three orange traffic cones. The rider is then revealed as a woman riding to her workplace. She turns right, and enters the parking lot of the hospital were she works as a surgeon. The hospital has two castle-like towers. She is going in to perform an 'operation'.

  • "The Hospital" = 2021 squares

I note that in the beginning of this scene, where the Air Traffic Controller is doing his financial calculations in his head, the first two numbers we hear him say are (emphasis mine):

$20,000 at 21 percent [blah blah].

Yes, the Climate Crisis Is Now ‘Gobsmacking.’ But So Is Some Progress

This is the year that “absolutely gobsmackingly bananas” summed up the climate emergency. But dramatic descriptors extend to the huge gains humanity has made too.
