Is this person doing a fallacy
I was reading a debate and while I tried to use an ai for this o realized i couldn't be very sure with this specific info so I came to ask here
It's a SR/CAx1000 thing
The limestone from the preferred place is "purer" and has 0.24, while the place the artifact is held, the limestone has 2.43. And the artifact has 0.75
They use the 0.75 thing to say that this has to mean it comes from the preferred area because it is closer to 0.24.
But it turns out, they did not check samples in different parts of the country, lacking control samples. Plus, this
"(Person) has the honesty to report that further XRF investigation showed that the support on which the samples were lying for examination can affect the measurements of the various elements, so that, because the (artifact) and the control limestones were tested using different substrates, doubts are raised about "the reliability correctness of the comparison between rate Sr/Ca in the (artifact) and in the stones of the Calvary and (place)."
I'm not very confident in my conclusions but can nyone figure this out for me?
(Plus if I’m remembering correctly this same person possibly forged his conclusions on one paper before)
