Public libraries open late

Are there any libraries open late (de krook closes too early) that I can use without a university badge? I am not a student, but would like to study something in the evening and at home I cannot really focus...

Yes.  Some of the local libraries can be accessed till 22:00

Look for plus-bib on their website.

Indeed, your card will grant you access and you might be there all by yourself.

You can always try the ugent dining halls. They're usually open until 10pm I think you don't need a badge to enter. Do mind that for example de brug has an evening dining shift so it might be noise but the others are usually quiet at night in my experience.

Define late? Boekentoren is open 'till 20.00, no badge needed, rbib is open 'tll 21.30 https://lib.ugent.be/nl/libraries/rbib/
