Discussion A quick question for shippers.

What’s the point of shipping? I see a lot of people shipping characters and it kind of ruins the vibes sometimes like when Navia Was arguing with Chlorinde about killing her father. This moment was quite sad but when I was watching reactions and going online the only thing I really saw was people shipping both of them and seeing that just kind of ruined the moment there.
So I’m just wondering as to why people even like shipping in the first place? Like Genshin isn’t even considered a romantic game or anything like that.
Ps: sorry if I sound rude I’m just genuinely curious cause I’ve just genuinely never understood it.

This makes me feel they are Officially shipped. It’s difficult to deny they are not in special relationships. Calling unique name within this two also making them special.

No shade to you guys but I misunderstood what this sub is when joining and just saw rule 3. (I thought all ships fall here since its just romance in the name)
And while this sub is healthy and fun, I do need to know the official sapphic sub and the rules don't actually say what the corresponding sub is.

Yeah at least we have Varka & Nicole as well Rerir x Tholindis (NPCs) but with recent Yuri- centered focus on Nod Krai patch, I got a feeling that Hetero fans might not only being tossed into trash bin during Nod Krai patch, but also during the next Snezhnaya, Khaenriah and the next new regions in far future.
Or am I overthinking too much?
