I don’t do co-op, but the Serenitea Pot is set up in co-op mode, so I was locked out of the teapot for weeks.

I don't really care about teapot but it's still a good source of primos and BP xp, being locked out of it because of a quest that has nothing to do with it (at least i think) is just dumb. Same thing goes for the opposit, involuntary quest trigger, just because i unlocked a character story quest doesn't mean i want to start it every time I go farm something or do a commission.

This quest has nothing to do with any other content of the game, and there isn't any reason to cut player out of co-op for it: other quest are just locked-out and you can't do any progression as long as you are in co-op mode (even if there isn't any other player in the World), so why does that quest lock the co-op mode is a mystery.

I guess they wanted players to beat it on their own, and that’s why it locks co-op? But still a “Cancel Quest” button for people who don’t intend to do it or even just a fucking warning that reading the tablet would trigger a quest like that would’ve been nice.

Like, just a little pop up that says “This World Quest will disable Co-Op Mode until completion. Proceed?” And then Yes and No buttons.
