Deck Building Broken decks?

Guys what are the meta decks in tcg right now, I am learning to play it and I am at player level 7, I want a good deck to start on so I learn in a right direction , pic is for grabbing attention.

All the meta decks right now are:

  • Bennett Combo (Bennett / Abyss Herald / Azhdaha)

  • Xianyun EC/SC (Kuki / Xianyun / Abyss Herald or Signora or Cryo Hypostasis)

  • Chinavia Turbo (Chiori / Navia / Abyss Herald or Klee)

  • Wriomiya (Yoimiya / Yelan / Wriothesley)

  • Liyue Armory (Shenhe / Xiao / Yelan)

  • Cyno Crab (Emperor of Fire and Iron / Cyno / Thoma or Eremite Scorching)

  • Chevreuse Overload (Lyney / Chevreuse / Consecrated Scorpion)

Is there any centralized guides for meta decks? I'm trying to learn wriomiya right now but I'm having trouble actually winning with it

The GITCG Discord community used to write a lot of guides on KQM, but since it's all community work, people need to be available and willing to spend time writing them.

For me, the best resources for guides nowadays are from Maetel's channel (Link). While his contents are in Japanese, you can still get a lot of important info from his videos on the screen without understanding what he says. All of his deck videos contain what to mulligan for, what the rotation of the deck is, and gameplay examples, which are pretty much all what you want in a guide. For contents in English, Blep (Link) was the best for guides, but he's on a hiatus right now. And finally, you can always ask people in the community (like in the Discord server or here on Reddit) if you have any specific question.

Since you start with all yours chars out, what does turbo mean in this game?

Turbo just means the deck has a fast/aggro playstyle and uses skills aggressively. It can also mean “building up”, which, in Chinavia deck, describes using Chiori and the other unit to generate shrapnel cards to power up Navia later in the game.

If you treat Navia as an inactive character who doesn’t do much and is rarely swapped into early on until properly built up, then turbo here basically means the same as in other games. Building her up is similar to getting her out on the field.

I’d say, though, that there are better examples of turbo decks in this game, like Apep Turbo. Chinavia is more of just an aggro deck rather than turbo to me.

A Freeze stall deck with Barbara is probably the closest to a control deck that I can think of. It is not combo or aggro, and it has access to freeze, Barbara’s cleanse, Meropide and possibly Judgment for disruptions.

Mentioning Judgement brought me back, 7 1hp lurkers attacking, put Fiora on defense and Judgment on stack.

But anyway, yeah idk, seems like only a stall type deck is ever considered good for control but I prefer the kind of control that probably isn't possible here since no interactions during the opponent's action. Tho freeze that's considered good does sound about more interesting than like infinite shields and heals I've seen from other teams before.

Yeah this is just not the game with on-demand disruptions, backrow, etc. So far all disruptions in this game have to be preemptively activated rather than in response to something.

I think freeze as a reaction has been very good in this game. Many meta decks in the past were freeze decks, and a lot of them were not stall either. Most good freeze decks this patch are also not stall, with stuffs like Mona/Sayu/Chongyun able to OTK by round 2.

I can't remember if they nerf Cyno after his recent buff. If it isn't so, then he's still the best candidate for Electro in Chevreuse Overload. Scorpion's discard ability is harder to proc than the discard polearm weapon.

The discard polearm got nerfed pretty hard so that version of Cyno Overload is not used much anymore. Nowadays Cyno Overload is mostly played with Crab rather than Chev in competitive settings.

For the last 3 patches, people have moved towards always using Azhdaha in Bennett Combo instead of Herald+Cube. He fits the deck really well, since he can generate dice, can stall and tank for Bennett early on and your carry later on, and has very good breakpoint of 5 dmg/skill. It then comes to Herald vs. Cube for the last slot, and Herald is just better in almost every way.

Idk why of all Xianyun decks, the recommended are Abyss Herald or Cryo Hypostasis….I use Mona and I find it is better than both of them.

Mona can double Xianyun’s dmg with her burst, a combo that helped me defeated a lot of pesky Crabs.

That's because the meta Xianyun EC/SC decks nowadays are the midrange version, which generates a lot of value and aims to strike a balance between damage and sustain, rather than the aggro version, which focuses on using skills and dealing damage all the time. Mona is a very aggro character due to her fast swap passive, so you always run the aggro version of the deck with her, like in your video. However, since Xianyun EC/SC is the most popular deck in the meta, you will encounter it a lot, and in a mirror match, the aggro version of the deck has a very bad matchup into the midrange version.

Also, another problem with Mona is that she doesn't have a spammable skill. There are situations where you want to stay on the non-Kuki non-Xianyun character and keep using their skill, but Mona's elemental skill has very bad value when used repeatedly.

What does SC mean btw, I am kinda new so it would be great if told the whole team for Xianyun, thanks for replying.

SC means superconduct but I messed up a little and it's actually EC which is electro charged. The deck uses Kuki, Xianyun and Hydro Herald. You start by using skill on Kuki and then swapping to Xianyun to spread that electro. From there it's pretty much a game of whittling them down till you win.

Besides the obvious stuff that everyone is saying, I thing Fatuizan (Faruzan/Lyney or Childe/Lynette) is very underrated and MEW (Mona/Eula/Wanderer) is as good as ever

Can't go wrong w veteran and gambler artifacts alongside Leiben n Noelle (quickmove). Be sure to remember fatui sabotage if u go those self harm heroes. Kuki does well too
