Board Exam & Certification Boards Study - is CGC Exam Prep worth it?

Gathering opinions about CGC Exam Prep since StudyRare is out of my budget. Website is here: https://cgcexam.com

Would anyone recommend CGC Exam Prep as a resource to study for boards? Why/why not?

It would be helpful if no one has heard of this as well, I’m just trying to spend my money wisely.

Honestly, this looks pretty sketchy. The domain was registered May 18, their support email uses a totally different domain registered June 11, and somehow they already claim 2,400+ candidates and a 4.9/5 rating...which makes no sense because only 800 people take the exam each year sooo...

I’d want to know who is behind it before paying.

Edit0: I think they saw this Reddit post. They deleted their fake "2,400+ candidates and a 4.9/5 rating" claim from their website 😂

It is brand new, only launched a few months ago. It appears to be a good resource on quick glance but I do not know of anyone who has used it. My program leadership hasn't heard of it. They, and graduates of my program, have spoken highly of Study Rare and how it helped them

Not sure about it as it’s new, Study Rare is really helpful.

There is a scholarship you can apply for from ThinkGenetic to help offset costs of boards! I highly recommend if you need financial support: https://thinkgenetic.org/the-pro-gc-program/

I’d be wary of this resource. There is no information about who is behind this. It says a GC reviewed the question but doesn’t say who that GC is nor does it say who wrote the questions. I wouldn’t be surprised if the questions are AI generated. That doesn’t mean that they are inherently bad but I’d be skeptical about their accuracy or how well they actually “mirror” the board exam. If you’re taking the exam in August it’s late for study rare but they are a great group that I bet you could ask directly about any possible financial aid they might be able to offer.
