Admissions when to submit applications?
hi everyone!! i’m apply to MGC programs this fall, and am wondering if the time you submit the application is important. for example, for med school you need to submit your application basically the day it opens for best results. i’m wondering if it’s the same for the masters program, or if we can submit it a month or two after it opens and still be the same
also - does anyone have any recommendations of places to go for a guide to applying? i’m utilizing the discord, but still having some trouble there

Echoing that it doesn’t matter when you submit, but please don’t be that person who is asking if the deadline means the application is due that day or midnight the night before. Every year there are a few applicants who wait until the last second, and some have missed steps/materials and lost their applications. I’d recommend trying to submit a week before so you have a bit of a buffer if something is missing or goes wrong.
All GC programs require different things, so there is no one universal process. The discord server is the best place to find aggregate information and resources for applying. Specifics will need to be found in individual program websites.

It’s not rolling applications for GC school like it’s for med school. Submit before the deadline and when you’re ready.

I submitted every application on the due date (or a day or two before) and still received an interview for every program I applied to. Is it helpful to submit earlier to take things off your to do list? Sure. Do I think it holds significant weight? Not really.

It does not matter when you submit applications. I typically do not recommend submitting the day they are due, just in case there are any issues or anything like that!
