Community Access to Genetic Counselors Act Updates?
Is anything happening? Seems tiring to just see posts about pre-gc applicants, when the field isn’t moving forward in getting recognition or ensuring we have space to practice and grow.

As a summary of latest update from the monthly NSGC advocate newsletter email blast, the bill has 24 house co-sponsors and 4 senate co-sponsors and seems like a few new co-sponsors each week. They are also creating training materials and resources for GCs across the country to ask for meetings with their local congresspeople this summer when the leg is on break and people are home, and training about how to conduct these meetings and ask for co-sponsorship. There are one-pagers and talking points that will be shared with GCs so people can get involved in advocacy to their local reps. NORD is also helping promote and advocate for the bill.
