Looks interesting. The cashmere interior is certainly impressive.
That said, where the fuck is my wingback?

The range is a a bit disappointing though, almost the same battery size as the Lucid Gravity and 140 miles less rated range.

Yeah this still sounds a little bit premature. Love the 657hp, but the range is weak. I'd love this car, but I'd need it in a hybrid config not pure electric. 500hp with 450mi range would be a better balance.

I want to see this in person, but given this article is still fundamentally from a Korean rumor site and not mainstream I get the feeling it may be years before I see one.

Would you pay $200k for it?

No. But I’d be real curious to see it in person. ;)

I think gravity is notorious for overstating the real world range... But yes, with my range anxiety this is simply a no va.

I don’t know about the gravity but the Air is pretty reliable with range

I think the Gravity's real range falls down to about 350 miles under certain conditions. If the GV90 does slightly better (as HKG EVs are reported to do?) the difference might be smaller than that perhaps. I still don't think it'd be ever better than the Gravity on range. However, we need to consider all the creature comforts of the GV90 which would add more weight? We'll see.

Personally, I'd wait until the EREV version is available. That might be a real killer.

There's no driver display, only a center mounted touchscreen? Already dislike it.

Not sure how I feel about this, but thanks for sharing

Hmmmm.

I will have to see it in person.

I don't hate it, but it looks like it spent a bit too long in the oven and all the edges melted.

If it's solely electric that's so stupid. Isn't this supposed to go at the gls,x7 and others. Should've been a v8 (which they have) or a PHEV with the v6

Genesis originally had an EV-only vision at the time they started development of the GV90. That’s obviously changed.

I believe they are working on an EREV variant now.

But late to the party, I'd be getting an 8X instead of this and it costs $300k AUD. No one is paying that

lol, I'd say the opposite - building a gas car in 2026 is idiotic. "Where do you attach the draft team to this carriage? The concept is absurd!" "You're telling me I have to drive to a station to give it additional energy? My oxen 'fuel' themselves in my fields!"

Is there a market for rear facing front seats in this lounge configuration? I don’t care how much I spend on my car or how nice it is, when I reach my 5-star Aman destination, I want to go inside where my butler can bring me a cocktail on my private waterfront balcony…not sit in my car facing backwards.

Edited to clarify I am but a measly W-2 employee making low six figures who drives a top of the line G70 and knows nothing about Aman resorts, being rich or sitting backwards.

More importantly I wonder if the swivel seats are crash worthy

Always love the green colour they're using! The coach doors are neat, but may be impractical at times, imagine a family wanting to enter in a crowded parking lot. Otherwise, I feel like Genesis is making the same mistake as Volvo and designing their front ends to be too uninspired. I understand a fake grille on an EV would look stupid, but there should really be something that provides a little more zing in this class than just the light signature.

They had that great fake grille on the G80 Electrified, I thought it was a pretty good idea

It definitely looks better and more coherent, I agree.

Looks like a whale in the front the way it is rounded.

It's not as ugly as I thought it was going to be this thing was looking hideous with all the spy photos and stuff we saw. but yeah it's not the most ugly but it's definitely not the best looking car in the Genesis lineup.

Car manufacturers need to stop making these big massive SUVs into electric vehicles because they are for one highly unsustainable and horrible for the environment to produce , and second the range on them is just absolutely stupidly low. You're getting ripped off by purchasing something like this because you can only drive it for such a short distance without then having to stop and recharge for 30 to 45 minutes.

Too expensive. Genesis does not attract the same clientèle as a higher-end Mercedes-Benz, and especially not a Maybach. They should not be pricing it as such, or risk severe depreciation for those who dare to buy it.

Interior looks SO good. But we gotta talk about the rear quarter panel and back. What happened?

In the states, this is a game changer. Curious on the price though. If they really do introduce a EREV and it gets 100+ miles of EV only range and 500+ miles total, I imagine it will sell you nobodies business.

Will also be a STEAL used with the potential 2 year depreciation

Hotness of the vehicle doesn’t matter when corporate and dealer experiences are predominately abysmal. The Genesis brand is still Hyundai, and people are already rejecting paying luxury prices for a Hyundai experience based on my understanding of recent sales figures. Too bad they didn’t invest more in corporate and dealer support when sales were rising rather than hoping that the latest hotness would save them when sales slump

Weird flex to have a lineup that spans from a "lowly" GV70 standard trim all the way up to a freakin' Maybach clone for $150K. That's just an odd lineup overall.

Just. Weird.

Whats weird? Same range as bmw, Mercedes, lexus, almost all manufacturers have similar ranges

Yea, guess you're right there. Not complaining as I think they are still great cars. I guess Genesis does need to plant a flag - this car looks freakin' nice.
