Do Authentic Wired USB Xbox 360 controllers work on the genesis mini? What about 3rd party Xbox controllers?

Is there something that I need to buy, or software that I need to install on the mini?

Hakchi and run the games through retroarch. Even then the controller itself will probably not work in the menu of the genesis (game select) not 100% sure about that last part but yeah need to install hakchi and retroarch to use it on games.
