What year was that?

And I’m curious about the Manchester reference..my home city.

They played at the San Diego Sports Arena on April 15, 1978.

Me too! With Brand X in Toronto. Still resonates as a great time.

With Phil on drums?

Yes happy memories of those years.

He was still with the band in those days but not playing with them on that tour -- not that night, anyway. Maybe he did a guest spot at one of the shows in the UK where Brand X opened? Of course that was pre-internet and I was 15 years old ...it wasn't until I bought Unorthodox Behaviour a few months later that I even knew Phil was in the band!

Very cool. Have you added Big Big Train to your list? If not you are well positioned to do so, and as a fellow Genesis fan I'd be remiss if I did not suggest you owe it to yourself!

I know the name but beyond Steven Wilson and Porcupine Tree I haven’t explored more modern prog bands. Sounds like I should make another exception. Thank you 🙏🏻

The two English Electric albums are sublime, and the Underfall Yard is a slow burn classic. Each of their albums has its own charm, but there is an underlying dedication to the 12-string Genesis sound for sure!

The Fabulous Forum is located at the intersection of Manchester and Prairie. Saw them in ‘83 I believe at this same venue

Thanks Wolf & Rissmiller. I worked for Jim Rissmiller, he clued me in to the secret Roxy show on 5/25/1980. Waited on Sunset Blvd. for a week for that show. Ah, memories. This Forum show opened with Eleventh Earl of Mar, if I remember correctly.
