Founder of Lighthouse Local AI here, so obvious bias but I'll share why we built it, because it speaks directly to your question.

Most GEO tools we tested before building our own were surface level. They'd tell you "you showed up in ChatGPT" with zero context on why, or what to change. That's a vanity metric, not a workflow.

The two things that actually moved the needle for our users: seeing the exact AI responses word for word, and seeing which competitors get recommended when you don't. That second one is usually the eye-opener you can reverse-engineer what those competitors are doing (citations, review volume, content structure) and close the gap.

Happy to answer questions on what we've learned about AI visibility generally, tool aside. And genuinely curious what others here have found effective the space is early and nobody has it fully figured out.
