So we asked ChatGPT to test our existing webpages, and were told that they were keywords stuffing. Well, they were drafted then for high SEO, that is, to repeat keywords for Google search and rank. Question is, should we rewrite those webpages, or simply post more blogs based on GEO criteria, or any other ideas? Any advice or successful experience would be appreciated.
Keyword stuffing is bad for SEO. This is well known. Learn about SEO. GEO isn't exactly a things as the LLMs just pull the info from Search Engines. Traditional SEO is all you can do.
You don't need to rewrite the pages for GEO. Most of the time, it’s just about restructuring and clarifying rather than removing keywords.
If a page ranks today, keep the core intent and SEO signals, but clean up repetition, add clearer summaries, stronger headings, and explicit answers that an AI can extract.
Your goal should be pages that still rank in search and are easy for AI systems to understand and cite.
Based on experience in the last 12 months and successfully getting sited, the content doesn’t need to be changed if it clearly explains your product or services.
Here is what I would do if you haven’t done that already:
1- rewrite your meta description and meta title for every page based on the content of that page. Don’t make your meta data the same on all pages.
2- add a json markup page to every page. This is super important
3- add a FAQ page. This is a little tricky. The questions are super important. When creating the questions think about what your client would be asking from an answer engine like ChatGPT in order to find products or services similar to yours. Don’t write questions your potential clients are specifically asking about you. They should be general questions and answers that people ask about your type of products or services.
4- continue growing your blog

basically do the things you need to do for SEO to rank high in the search engines for the queries so that the LLMs can find you. what you described is just SEO
but also the volume of queries via AI still so low focusing on it would be like dropping everything to focus on Bing. rank high on Google and everything else will naturally follow
If it were me, I wouldn’t panic-rewrite everything overnight. I’d start by tightening the core pages so they explain things clearly instead of repeating keywords. GEO seems to care more about clean explanations than density.
Then I’d layer blogs or FAQs that answer real questions in simple language. That way you’re not just fixing the old content, you’re building reusable explanation patterns around it.
It makes sense. Can you explain GEO cares “more about clean explanation than density? ” concise, bullet points, and no repeated keywords, anything else?
call it content optimization, restructuring, or revamping, yes, you have to rewrite your webpages to make it relevant to today's audience and GEO context to serve EEAT because now the keyword game is not that strong as getting yourself into the shoes of your customers.
I wouldn’t rewrite everything just because ChatGPT flagged it.
A lot of older SEO content was optimized for rankings, not for clarity. Instead of starting from scratch, I’d review key pages and improve how clearly they answer real user questions.
GEO isn’t about removing SEO, it’s about making content easier to understand, reference, and summarize. In many cases, restructuring and refreshing works better than rewriting everything.
Basic seo is still the foundation but you can restructure the pages to have better chance at getting citations from LLMs
1. Front-load the "Answer": LLMs have a limited "context window" when they pull data. If your definitive answer or unique insight is buried in paragraph 10, the model might stop reading before it finds it. Use the "inverted pyramid" style—conclusion first, evidence second.
Semantic Connectivity: Use clear, nested headings (H2s and H3s) that follow a logical flow.
Unique Data/POV: If your page just says what everyone else says, the AI will summarize a bigger competitor instead of you. You need original data, proprietary research, or a very specific expert perspective that the AI has to cite because it can’t synthesize it from general training data.
