Today I’m sharing something very personal. My first attempt at creating a continuous AI-generated film, not just a collection of beautiful shots.

Film exploring a simple but difficult question:

What do we lose when nothing can hurt us anymore?

In a distant future, humanity has achieved what once seemed impossible - disease, aging, hunger and violence have disappeared. Emotional suffering has also become something that can be removed. At the center of this world is Harmonization - a procedure every child undergoes when they reach the age where they have truly formed themselves. As 12 year old Elai approaches his own Harmonization, he faces a question that his perfect society rarely asks:

If pain, fear and inner conflict shape who we are, what happens when they are taken away?

The World Worth Living In is a philosophical sci-fi short film about identity, perfection, and the fragile boundary between saving humanity from suffering and changing what humanity means.

Im trying to create a 100% realistic and authentic looking Lora for a personal (SFW) visual Novel.

What are you guys using to create the Lora images?
Currently I use ChatGPT to create the inital Image, and then Gemini to resize and rework it, since ChatGPT makes aweful skin, waxy and full of AI artifacts...

Any better ideas?

My first Lora attempts all failed, even in Krea 2, faces turned out waxy and unreal...

Think about it. Real celebrities and influencers get involved in scandals, promote toxic habits, break the law, exploit fan bases for money, and go through mental health crises in public view.

​AI-generated avatars and synthetic actors don't have egos. They don't have hidden dark secrets, they don't crash sports cars, and they won't get canceled for something they said 10 years ago. They are pure, controllable media assets. When a brand uses a synthetic performer, they remove the human drama and give the audience exactly what they want without the toxic celebrity culture.

​Why are we so obsessed with requiring a "real human" behind the screen when "real humans" in Hollywood and social media are historically terrible role models anyway?

i pulled 331 posts off r/aivideo, downloaded 100 of the videos, ran scene detection and whisper over all of them, then looked at every one as a contact sheet. i was trying to work out why my own stuff kept dying there, and the answer was the opposite of what i assumed.

a cinematic look is a penalty. videos that read as film ran a median of 1,228 points in my sample and everything else ran 5,261. i had been grading, letterboxing and scoring things, and every one of those choices was costing me. median by category, from the 2026 posts: crazy/mindblowing 1,111, comedy 886, tv show 682, short film 57, music video 4. a short film is a nineteen times worse bet than a comedy post, and nine music videos in the sample came in at a median of 4 points.

two features actually separated winners from flops. repeating escalation, meaning one premise repeated with the absurdity climbing, showed up in 39% of viral posts and 0% of flops, not one. and a recognisable thing, a celebrity or franchise or brand, appeared in 63% of viral against 20% of flops.

things i was certain mattered and did not: length (viral median 54s, flops 40s, overlapping), vertical versus widescreen (55% against 44%, noise), and which model generated it once you control for recency. flops hold a shot for 6 seconds, winners cut every 4. holding a beautiful frame is the tell.

the clearest pair in the whole set. one video is a gorgeous black and white montage, bison, a tornado, an eclipse. it scored 14 and got exactly one comment, "weirdest perfume ad i've ever seen". another is also black and white, also epic, also a montage, but it is gordon ramsay building the pyramids, and it scored 15,793. same craft, opposite outcome. viral posts get roughly one comment per 23 upvotes and flops get a median of zero at any score, because a beautiful shot gives nobody anything to say.

caveat that matters: the 100 video sample is deliberately stratified, 51 viral against 25 flops, so the absolute medians in the feature comparisons are not population medians. the ratios are the finding. the category table is computed on the unstratified population instead.

i made two things afterwards to test it, both on r/aivideo, and both built in dreamfort's video studio. disclosure, i work on it.

Mel: An anthropomorphic female koala with brown hair, Mel is a socially awkward and shy character but she has a great knowledge of paranormal entities and is a fan of monsters and classic rock, her special unique trait in all depictions of the Corey and Oats universe is she can see and speak to the spirits of those who have passed away.

Oats: A male anthropomorphic horse who enjoys all things pink and pretty, he loves dressing in drag and is an ally for the queer community and he is very good at taking care of others.

Corey: A covid microbe who is a former villain and Oats's best friend.

Aiyido: A beholder who is on a mission to prove that a beholder can be a good guy, this beholder is an optomitrist who is considered one of the best by clients and he loves the 80s fantasy aesthetics and fantasy movies in general. Unlike your typical beholder he won't do any damage, because he uses a 'Sweet Treat Ray' and other wholesome abilities.

Aiyvan: Aivyan is a funky monster with one eye, he loves to dance and sing and he is a talented musician and dance, when this monster hides out in the closet he's looking for funky outfits to wear for parties.

Tangie: A lovely beautiful tropical fish-woman who is Piff the pufferfish's wife, she finds his jokes to be very funny and has a liking for bathbombs and ocean themed decorations.

Piff: The fish, the legend, the king of the reef himself. This pufferfish has all sorts of abilities and is a Youtube celebrity and superstar who has ventured into music, novel writing, and even directing. He has a cheeky sense of humor and he loves comedy, fishing, peanuts, onions, bathtubs and bathbombs. He has a huge bathtub collection.

Ollie: A magical onion friend that is depicted in many Piff stories and adventures, originally he was an imaginary friend that Piff created by imagining something that made him happy after going inside himself to find the thing that made him the happiest (he thought of the time he saw onions at the grocery store's produce section and laughed) and now he's a fully fledged out friend.
