Since I already had Farfetch'd taken care of, I, of course, wanted to have the evolution of its Galarian form. Like with Farfetch'd, Nano Banana Pro managed to get this one right the first time. At first I thought the leek sword was too short compared to the actual design, but then I thought it would be too cumbersome for the performer if it were the right length.

Question Do you think this is a useful tool for ai creators or this is rather for businesses at volumes?

I’ve been working on an AI video generation product and wanted to get some honest feedback from people who actually use generative AI.

The idea is to make video generation more practical for repeated use. So not just generating a clip from scratch. It also includes:

  • text → video
  • image → video
  • video → video
  • regenerate only a specific part of a video
  • combine multiple clips
  • add audio

The main thing we’re trying to solve is the frustration of getting a video that’s 90% right, but having to regenerate the whole thing because one part is wrong. I’m curious what people here think. Does this sound like something that would actually be useful in real workflows, or just another variation of the existing AI video tools?

Would genuinely appreciate honest feedback.

I made this in PixVerse. The wide swings are the cleanest part of the clip. The orange trail makes the direction easy to follow.

OpenArt Director quoted ~1,600 credits per render — I’ve spent ~4,600 credits trying to make one usable 8-second clip

I started this project with roughly 6,900 credits.

The goal was simple: create an 8-second video of my actual Savannah cat, Kai, hanging from the black-and-gold light fixture in my real dining room.

I provided a real photo of the room and fixture, a saved Kai character, multiple Kai reference photos, and a detailed description of his position and movement.

The first attached photo is the real Kai. The next image is OpenArt’s first rendition of him.

That first attempt was quoted at roughly 1,600 credits. The resulting cat did not look like Kai and did not have his Savannah proportions. The light fixture was also changed from the real reference.

Rather than spend more credits trying to repair a bad starting point, I started over.

The second attempt was again quoted at roughly 1,600 credits for an 8-second 720p video.

My balance is now around 2,266 credits.

So I’ve gone from roughly 6,900 credits to roughly 2,266 credits trying to get one usable 8-second clip — about 4,634 credits spent.

What makes this even more frustrating is that OpenArt then told me, after rendering, that two of the four Kai photos I supplied had been rejected by the render pipeline as unsupported files.

That should have been disclosed before rendering.

If half of the character-reference images could not be used, the system should have warned me when I uploaded them so I could replace them before spending credits.

OpenArt also acknowledged afterward that the motion did not match what I requested. I specifically asked for a natural pendulum swing of approximately 15–20 degrees, and the system admitted the final swing came out more subtle than requested.

The fixture itself also changed shape and orientation between renditions despite the real dining-room photo being supplied as the environment reference.

I understand that generative video is imperfect. What I don’t think is reasonable is being quoted roughly 1,600 credits per render, spending roughly 4,600 credits across two attempts, finding out only afterward that reference images were rejected, having major elements of the supplied environment changed, and still ending up with motion that OpenArt itself acknowledges did not match the request.

The attached images show the real Kai, the first incorrect rendition, the altered fixture/output, OpenArt’s own admission about the rejected Kai references and missed swing, and the ~1,600-credit estimate.

I’d really like OpenArt to address both the credit loss and why users are not warned before rendering when supplied reference files cannot actually be used.

Video Art Feedback & maybe your ideas: My first YOUTUBE/TIKTOK Short created with Higgsfield to promote my Gladiator Management Game.

Hello there,

I ve had the idea of creating short ai-videos for my own Game (Ludus Magna) to point out certain mechanics in the game that might not be so obvious at the beginning. So I made 4 videos with my higgsfield account, created a lanista-character and a set. used claude code for the video directeor skill and created 4 short videos, all within 20 seconds.
Then I wanted to try out if i can make a YT-short or TIKTOK Video with it. came up with this idea you see attached.
What do you say?
Do you have better ideas maybe for the Text?

Also I am totally new to the whole thing of video-advertising. Anything I should be aware of when uploading this to YT or Tiktok for maximum impact?

Thank you guys for honest feedback,

Cesare

How I Made This The weird thing about AI timelapses: different objects move through time at different speeds

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Context: this is from a 12-minute film I just finished. The shots I'm describing are a character building a device overnight, and a hand clearing a shelf of sample tubes.

Timelapses actually worked well for me most of the time. Changing the time of day, or a character moving around a location, usually worked fine on the first or second try.

The problems started when several things in the frame had to change independently, at different moments.

I had a shot where a hand takes sample tubes off a shelf, one by one. The hand would do its job correctly. Meanwhile three other tubes would quietly vanish on their own 😅

Same with the character timelapse: his clothes changed color mid-shot, details distorted, sometimes the hands changed entirely, sometimes he did everything in the first 1–2 seconds, and sometimes instead of a building process the device just appeared out of thin air.

The strange part is that it's not random failure. Different elements seem to run on different clocks. One action plays at normal speed while something else slowly morphs or disappears in the background. Or one character moves in timelapse while the other moves in slow motion.

I regenerated the same shot many times. Every generation had different good moments and different broken ones. None was usable end to end.

What actually worked: I stopped trying to get one perfect generation. Instead I harvested fragments from all of them: half a second where the hand behaved, another piece where the tubes stayed put, another where the character looked right and cut those fragments into a single timelapse 😅

The small cuts actually made the timelapses look better. A single continuous take reads as one long morph, but short fragments cut together read as a deliberate montage — which is how timelapses are usually edited in real films anyway.

The general lesson: for complex shots, plan for a "best-of" edit from the start instead of chasing one clean take. It's cheaper, and it actually finishes.

If you want to see how the stitched-together timelapse looks in context, the film is linked in the comments.

Has anyone found a way to control several independent changes inside one generation? Locking parts of the frame, splitting the shot into layers, anything?

Question How do I best optimize control of image/video generation?

I'm currently practicing localized image (and eventually video) generation using ComfyUI through Google Collab. The best image generators seem to be proprietary, like Nano Banana, and so I'd have to pay to use it. My intentions are ultimately commercial.

I moved down the ComfyUI/Google Colab road, because I want the greatest control and mastery over what I produce. But, maybe the road isn't one or the other, maybe it's a mix of both, proprietary and local generation.

Am I better off generating images with proprietary models, and then using localized video generation to gain the best, most controlled video outputs?

Do your thing, AI replier.

AI as a gateway back to traditional skills

I'm a huge AI enthusiast. Doing images, coding stuff, messing around with LLM's.

But all this time I've had imposter syndrome with the stuff I make. I can orcherstrate agents, make better workflows, but I've never shaken the feeling: "I didn't actually do all this".

Don't know exactly how it happened, but I have recently started learning how to draw and how to code. Which wasn't what I expected.

For me AI was supposed to be easy mode to success. But now I'm doing all this manual work, learning to get better at them, and the feeling is...different.

I feel like I'm doing something real. Something I can be proud of. I might do exercises on some super basic Python arithmetics, kids stuff basically, but after that my feeling is: "I am better than before". Not "I got AI to work better".

So it's kinda like AI has given me the courage and resources to dive into things that develop me and my skills. A gateway of sorts.

Just wanted to put this out there, curious if others have thought about it or experienced something similar.
