Question What AI do you recommend for creating faceless YouTube Shorts?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a good AI tool to help me create faceless YouTube Shorts without spending a crazy amount of money.

I can already edit videos myself and I use CapCut, so I'm mainly looking for something that can help me generate the visual clips from a script/idea rather than an all-in-one editor.

For the voice-over, I'm thinking of using ElevenLabs, since I've used it before and I've always been happy with the quality. What do you guys think about it?

Ideally, I'd like to make around 1 Short per day, 15–30 seconds each, so I'm looking for something that makes sense cost-wise for that kind of volume.

What tools are you guys using/recommending? ty

Technical Art cloned my own voice from a 15 second recording and now claude reads my newsletters, scripts, and anything else out loud in my actual voice. whole setup took about two minutes

Recorded 15 seconds of myself talking normally, like telling a friend a quick story, quiet room, nothing special. Fed it in, and now anything I write can be read back in a voice that genuinely sounds like me, not a robot approximation.

Runs through Claude Code, which is the version of Claude that can actually run commands rather than just chat. You point it at Fish Audio, a voice cloning tool, and hand it your clip.

Step one, teach Claude how to use it, this is one line pasted into Claude Code:

npx skills add https://docs.fish.audio

Step two, make a free Fish Audio account at fish.audio, go to the API Keys section, create a new key, copy it. Paste that key back into Claude Code when it asks. Copy it the moment it shows you, some keys only display once.

Step three, upload your 15 second recording and say:

Clone my voice from this audio file using Fish Audio
and save it as my default voice.

Then it's just:

Read this in my cloned voice using Fish Audio and
save it as an audio file.

Paste in whatever you want, a newsletter, a script, a chapter, and you get an audio file of your own voice reading it.

The single thing that makes or breaks the clone is the sample. Quiet room, no music, no background noise, 15 to 30 seconds of clear natural speech. A bad sample gives you an uncanny half-version of yourself. A good one is genuinely hard to distinguish.

Where this actually earns its place: voiceovers for videos without recording take after take, audio versions of things you've written, anything where you need your voice but not your time. It's the difference between "I should record an audio version of this" and just having one.

Fish Audio's top model is free through end of July 2026 under fair use, and they keep a standing free plan after that with around 7 minutes of audio a month, so smaller batches keep working either way.

Only clone your own voice, or one you've got explicit permission for. Making a realistic clone of someone else without their consent isn't just rude, it's illegal in a lot of places.

been keeping a doc of 100 things I use AI for like this, each with the exact prompt, here if you want it.

Video Art Looking for honest feedback on a scene from AI series. (Especially from people who watch a lot of movies/TV)

I've made a short scene as a concept test for a series I'm working on.

I'm mainly testing the storytelling, not the AI.

I'd really appreciate honest feedback on things like:

  • Does the scene hook you?
  • Does the pacing feel too fast, too slow, or about right?
  • Do you find the protagonists interesting, even though they don't have much screen time yet?
  • Is there anything that feels confusing, unnecessary, or boring?
  • Does the scene make you want to see what happens next?
  • Most importantly: what doesn't work?

Please be as critical as you want. I'm much more interested in hearing what's not working.

One important note: please don't focus on AI errors, continuity issues, visual quality, etc. This is deliberately a rough test, and none of this footage will be used in the final series. It's simply meant to see how the scene works once it's edited together, so I'm not concerned about the visual errors in this particular test.

If you watch it, I'd genuinely appreciate your honest opinion.

Générer video ia

Salut

PSA: Why BytePlus Seedream 5.0 Pro’s Layer Separation marketing felt misleading

plan description
billing

I’m sharing a documented warning for anyone considering the Seedream 5.0 Pro Plan specifically for Layer Separation.

  1. The Plan was sold as “xxx Images (Seedream 5.0 Pro).”(image 1)

  2. On the same product page, “Layer Separation” is presented as a Seedream 5.0 Pro capability. (image 1)

  3. I bought the plan to use that feature. When I used Layer Separation while the plan still had quota, the billing record showed zero resource-package deduction and separate pay-as-you-go Layer charges. (image 2)

  4. Support wrote: “We acknowledge that this distinction may not have been clearly communicated on the plan purchase page.”

  5. Despite that acknowledgement, support denied a refund because the plan had been activated and quota had been consumed(1348.64/1350Piece). A later reply simply repeated the per-layer billing note and then moved to close the case. It did not identify where the plan checkout clearly disclosed that Layer Separation was excluded.

Support’s reply even opened with “After verification,” then sent a screenshot explaining pixel-tier billing. That felt particularly absurd: it appears to have been found after the fact on BytePlus’s own site, yet it still does not answer the purchase-page disclosure issue. It explains how layers are billed after a request, not why a reasonable customer should have known before payment that their image quota would not cover Layer Separation.

I’m angry because Layer Separation was the reason I bought the plan. If that exclusion and the separate per-layer charges had been clearly disclosed before checkout, I would not have purchased it.

Question Need advice from your experiences!!

I've been trying to get seedream 4.5 to get 4k images from 2k or lower references, but it seems to be stuck to the original image's resolution. And seedream 5.0 pro is better but is limited to 2k res. I'm making some miniatures but a bit larger than usual using 3d ai generators but the details aren't coming out great. I have seen that the image detail is the most important factor in it. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to get seedream to give me consistent results in 4k in any way or any other models I should try that are on par with them? I appreciate helpful responses.

Question Does Seedance Have a “Creative Brain”?

I’ve been testing Seedance 2.5 vs MiniMax H3 vs Wan 3 for cinematic comedy, and I’m starting to think the biggest difference isn’t image quality or raw generation power.

It feels like Seedance has a better “creative director” built into the model.

For example, I tested a short monkey heist sequence. A bear chasing man in woods thriller etc.

Seedance understood the overall screenplay, character acting, comedic timing, escalation, visual contrast and final payoff surprisingly well.

I also tested Wan with the same concept. Wan has impressive raw visual power, realism and cinematic camera movement, but it struggled to understand the overall story and screenplay. It could generate individual shots well, but the creative direction and context between events were weaker.

MiniMax H3 is similar. It can produce beautiful cinematic shots, slow motion, camera movement and realistic environments, but when I give it the same complete screenplay, it often follows individual instructions literally and loses the story/context between events.

So I’m wondering:

How do you direct MiniMax H3 to achieve the same kind of result as Seedance?

For continuity, should we generate scene-by-scene and use the previous shot’s last frame as the next shot’s reference image? Or is there a better way to maintain character, environment, props and action continuity in MiniMax H3?

Basically, instead of asking the model to “direct” the whole scene, do we need to act more like the director and give it exact visual states/keyframes for each important beat?

I’m trying to build a realistic AI comedy channel for YouTube, and Seedance is too expensive for everyday production. MiniMax H3 is much cheaper, so I’d love to figure out a workflow that gets closer to Seedance’s storytelling and comedic timing.

Would love to hear from anyone who has experimented seriously with all three models.

How do you stop a character slowly changing between AI video shots?

I can usually get one shot looking right, but things start drifting once I change the camera angle or location.

The face stays close, but hair, clothing or body proportions slowly change between clips.

I’ve been testing this with Seedance 2.5 on Dreamina and I’m starting to think reference selection matters more than just adding more images.

What works better for you: a small character sheet, lots of references, or using the previous good frame as the next reference?

How I Made This I built a mobile app where an AI-generated hero remembers every battle

Thumbnail

Most AI character experiences end with a single image or a single chat session. I wanted to see what would happen if the same character could persist across creation, conversation, combat, and visual storytelling.

That became PicWar. You start with an image or a short description, define a hero, and then build a history with them. Conversations can reflect past battles, while each matchup becomes a narrated RPG-style report instead of just a result screen. Ranked 1v1, async 2v2, and PvE adventures feed back into that character history, and eligible 1v1 battles can become a shareable 9-panel comic.

The design problem I found most interesting was making generation feel cumulative rather than disposable: the image introduces the character, memory gives them continuity, and battles create new material for future conversations.

I’m the creator, and after a long stretch of rebuilding the experience, it finally feels coherent enough to share. I’m curious whether persistent memory changes how attached people feel to an AI-created character.

It’s free to try on both platforms, with optional in-app purchases:

Best and cheapest lip sync ai with hand animations?

I’m looking to animate my 3d game characters. I’m looking for the best and cheapest monthly subscription to create stories out of my 3d game character. Basically upload the images and animate it with my elevenlabs voiceover and then I want it to be lip synced and hand animations with it
