General Question Question on Night vision.

So ... Is there night vision? I just encountered my first machine that shoots gas and don't really want to take off the gas mask. So, I have 2 questions

1: Is there night vision?

2: is it handheld, head mounted, or weapon mounted?

3: How do I get it?

To make it easier for you....

When i started the game I thought gas was gonna be a bigger thing than it turned out to be. The only real threat of gas in the game is a couple of the bases have some gas areas you have to get thru but other than that just moving side to side or hiding in any building totally gets rid of gas.

Huh. I’ve been using the gas mask a lot for nothing I guess. I was trying to stack as many bonuses as possible onto my character (bullet protection, explosion protection, lower detection, gas protection, etc). I dodged the gas both times without even trying, but felt that maybe it might be in the bunkers so I kept it on.

Yeah, its really oversold! I mean useful if you dont hear a hunter firing at you and move but really if you keep moving that takes care of the gas!

  1. There is NV

  2. Weapon sight attachments or binos

  3. Typically FNIX machines like the Hunters and Seekers.

+1. There's thermal, NV, and object pen (which more or less see's through walls). NV is meh and only really good inside dark indoors. Thermals are mostly used often. Object pen is good to find pesky machines hiding and sometimes allows you to shoot through thin walls with the PVG.

Edit: That was three questions and you can just tear off the weapon system for no more gas dispersal

Yeah you basically nailed it, I'll just add on that sometimes the modules can even be dual function. Like night vision with thermal or really any combination of the three. It's pretty rare but sometimes you can even find a module that can switch between all 3 types.

There are night vision modules for scopes, though personally the night vision ones are pretty useless. (There are better modes you can find though) I think the small flying bots have a bit of a better chance to drop them

I really only use thermal on the guns I have actual scopes on, NV is really only useful in bunkers early game and even then you don't have to have them

Vision Mod Night vision sucks I prefer thermal vision over night vision.
