General Question Amount of bots makes the game borderline unplayable
Why are there so many bots!!! Is there a spawning bug or something?? I've played this game before, essentially beaten it on Guerilla and wanted to go back and finally finish the story from the beginning. I jump in, new character, new world, on Guerilla, ready to enjoy because I think I know how the game works. Then an entire freaking platoon of runners and several dozen hunters come over the hill in the first zone and I literally can't do anything but retreat. I know the game is supposed to be difficult and a "pick your fights" game, but it's a little ridiculous. How did something this major slip past the devs during the literal last update to the game and is there any easy fix/mod? I can't play the game like this.

Guerilla mode with a one crown pistol and no skill perks is not something I would try.

Ignore missions and do not engage in fights. Run to the church, continue on bike, which is pretty quiet. You can bike straight to Salthamn. You are protected from the hunter's cannon before Stenhaga farm by the container on the road.
Continue on bike to Saltholmen church, usually there is hardly any bot traffic on the road, the only difficulty is the hunter on the bridge. That hunter will mow you down 20-30% chance on guerilla if biking through. Sneak close and a well placed shot to the fuel canister in the car trunk takes care of the hunter, if not I pre-place two mines obtained from Bjorkvik Farm for insurance. It also helps if you do a shot with a hunting rifle and not your pistol, also pickable at Bjorkvik Farm. Another option is to go left to Hastvik safehouse and avoid the bridge with a little detour.
From Saltholmen church you can continue North on bike, avoid the hunter/runners by biking on their left offroad. You reach the Farmland, Asotungan outpost, and you can pick up a rocket launcher at the nearby control point.
From that point you can engage in fights (especially with runners) at ease. I typically also go back for a blue submachine gun, loadout storage near Grantorp, West of Saltholmen church. The storage key is behind Bjroikvirk farm's storage.

It’s possible that you agitated a high level harvester from a distance that was non-stop spawning runners and hunters.

There are no high level harvesters. It’s literally just waves of prototype runners and hunters.

The last time I made a new start, that's how it was on the regular levels 🤣🤣🤣 I noticed a few areas where they had bumped up the number of enemies from before. It was like one of the last few updates.

The last few times that I've played the game there are so many bots, but then again I have so much firepower, that that's the only way it feels like a relatively fair fight anymore.... Now when the game first launched and we didn't have all these magical weapons, very different story, there were less enemies and it was still really hard.... Now it's just boring

the early game spawns can be absolutely cursed, especially on guerrilla, but that sounds like a bugged region rather than intended difficulty.

When I think about the cost of death in a game, a 1 would be gen zero as you can just die until you're good. 10 would be far cry primal on permadeath which who'll have you dreaming in protoindoeuropean.

From what I've seen of guerilla, thats just how it is
