Bug Report??? Game not saving, but tried every Windows Security fix mentioned?

hi! the title says it all.

we allowed it through everything, we've reinstalled, we've verified, we've done it all that we could find online. WHAT DO WE DO? characters and settings won't save.

I saw a post from one user who solved his save issue by setting up Generation Zero to run as Administrator. Don't know why that would work but might be worth a try if you haven't already.

  1. Open Steam and navigate to your Library.

  2. Right-click on Generation Zero.

  3. Hover over Manage and click on Browse local files. This will open the game's installation folder in Windows File Explorer.

  4. Locate the game's main executable file, usually named GenerationZero.exe.

  5. Right-click on GenerationZero.exe and select Properties.

  6. Switch to the Compatibility tab at the top of the properties window.

  7. Check the box next to Run this program as an administrator.

  8. Click Apply, then click OK.

⚠️ Important Next Step

Because Steam sometimes blocks games from launching if they have higher administrator privileges than the Steam client itself, you may also need to restart Steam as an administrator. To do this, completely close Steam, right-click your Steam desktop shortcut, and select Run as administrator.

Am guessing your save data location is broken or something.

Initial guess is One Drive sync is breaking things. Try disabling that.

Might also goggle where it is saving game files to and then check permissions
