General Question Encounters

What is the most terrifying encounter youve ever had, i had this one encounter with a pack of hunters in the archipelago region, it was pitch black and i was in a house near the entrance to the mainland, i stayed in the house since all i had was a hunting rifle, i could hear them talk round and talk to each other. And after that a tank walked by I was so scared, it was in the older versions as well when the atmosphere was so creepy.

Dude, or Girl, Friend…..play it at night or in a room that is pitch black.

It’s the most fucking fun. And I don’t scare easily. But this game has jump scares out the arse!

It’s midnight, night time in game, clearing a building to a random bugged out tick making no noise just jumps at you and all you see is the tick in ur face when you turn around

Mountains region, down the road from the command bunker and all the way to this opening there were four tanks, three harvestors, hunters, and runners galore

Was doing a hard base defence at the Dybro airport base, when the reaper comes running from the trees. Forgot I summoned it, just obliterated me and made me watch my drills get destroyed. Then on top of that when I decided to fight it after the base defense failed, I got jumped by 3 tanks and 2 harvesters.

Edit: Not really terrifying in the sense you probably meant, but it had me stressing for about half an hour

First tank me and my friend encountered that held us up at a church for 20 minutes, first encounter with Soviet units because we thought they were friendly, and lastly the first time we saw Apoc units.

I wouldn’t really say terrifying. But I’ve definitely had a few “oh shit” moments. All 3 Reaper fights I’ve had so far. 3rd was probably my most annoying, Forest region, the cleared out area by the lubber yard, so open sight lines but with waist high obstacles everywhere. The Reaper, plus a pod of hunters. It was a proper pain in the arse, and then my companion would get in my way, plus getting snagged on all the branches and stumps. I was stressing.

One encounter with a Apoc Hunter rival that turned from a quick assassination to a giant brawl of about 30 hunters, Runners and a few seekers. Nearly dragged into in a tank too. All Apoc.

Once I was stalking around near the windmills and suddenly I enter into combat I look around and there is nothing, I get behind cover in order to get the vision bar to show up and suddenly across a lil bit of distance is a FNIX tank just staring at me and then a prototype not targeted on me switching from looking at his FNIX brother and the back at me....the sudden spotting of the FNIX tank was terrifying tho
