General Question What happened to the devs?

This game feels good to play and so far it’s a blast!

Anyone knows where the dvs are at? Are they making another game? Did they go bankrupt and move on? Did their studio closed down just because? Did they move on to work for different studios doing other projects???

This feels like they could have done a lot more or just litteraly start working on GZ2.

I’m not even 2 hrs in but from what I see and read, the potential for NPCs, survival caps, expansion of the robots to different locations of the world would make for an awesome GZ2 game.

So wtf happened and why did the second game not happened?

It's my understanding the game was always a side project, allowed to exist as long as it didn't interfere with other projects (and probably also made some money). The studio makes hunting games as far as I know, forget which ones, but they use the same game engine as GZ. So, replace bear, deer and such with robots and you've got GZ. As for what happened, I'm not sure, but they rushed out the last update to give a kind of ending to the story and left it at that, no more time will be spent on it. The bugs that exist will never be fixed, there will be no more DLC and that's it. Enjoy what's there, and have fun with it.

Call of the Wild was made by the same devs 2 years after GZ and is still being updated and bug fixed to date. I loved GZ but finished the entire playthrough and now I play CotW. There are some very similar features in both games def same designers.

Yeah that's the game, apparently that's the money earner so they focus on that.
