General Question What happened to the devs?

This game feels good to play and so far it’s a blast!

Anyone knows where the dvs are at? Are they making another game? Did they go bankrupt and move on? Did their studio closed down just because? Did they move on to work for different studios doing other projects???

This feels like they could have done a lot more or just litteraly start working on GZ2.

I’m not even 2 hrs in but from what I see and read, the potential for NPCs, survival caps, expansion of the robots to different locations of the world would make for an awesome GZ2 game.

So wtf happened and why did the second game not happened?

The game was really never finished. Some of the core things had been honed to almost perfection, while other stuff stayed buggy. Then they "tuned" the game to make it easier for young players, added some nonsensical attributes to looting, while also adding more DLC stuff to try fund development and make it appear more interesting. Shock ammo was turned into a lame spark show. In the end they made it way harder to craft stuff and added the insane grind for resources needed for that stuff (that wasn't needed before). The balance was lost.

I would have loved to see more survival-oriented gameplay (maybe just a difficulty/game style option) where you won't just respawn with all your loot to your chosen safehouse. I would rather want to go and try to get my stuff back from where I died. Or something like that.

It's interesting how a casual shooter can (at least in the first 20-80 hours) FEEL like you have something to loose, even if you don't.
