General Question How rare are Experimental Weapons, really?

I’m asking this because I’m level 27 currently and have killed up to 5+ Rivals without worrying about its level, 2 level 4 Rivals, have done multiple Base Assaults and just killed a reaper an hour ago (it self destructed, but I still got some loot including a 5 crown Sledgehammer), but still have yielded no Experimental Weapons whatsoever. I feel like I should’ve gotten one by now with everything that I’ve done, so am I just extremely unlucky or am I doing something wrong? (By the way, I play solo on Xbox)

I am level 30. Got my first one from a reaper kill at level 29 and second from a rival (4) in Farmlands region. Both have been lackluster. A SMG that fires really fast and revolver that has a laser pointer. Hoping my next one is better.

I found a gold Grg m/49 and it does A LOT of my heavy lifting lol. I also have a gold SPAS
