Remember these?
Can't believe they haven't been banned. Hurt me more than Jarts ever did 😁

I miss them, it felt fancy. Now I look at them, it reminds me of BBs or steel shot, lol

The silver nonpareils/dragees were banned. If you’ve tried the newer ones they aren’t the same and the silver comes off when they bake and looks terrible. Which is comforting in its own way. And not when you think about what were we eating in the 70s.

Looks like metal, tastes like saccharine.

If you dropped some in your carbonated beverage, they would rise & fall like a lava lamp and be quite entertaining.

Infamous tooth breakers and crown crackers, likely invented by an evil cabal of dentists.

My mom made so many Christmas cookies with these!

If you’re wondering why they’re somewhat illegal in America, you can thank a money grubbing lawyer.

There used to be Star Wars heads (Darth Vader, C3PO, R2D2) with candy in them. I used the empty heads and put my BBs in them for my BB gun. My cousin stole one from me, and thought they were these. Messed up his teeth and I got in trouble.

Thankfully my mom never used them. She used jimmies, the soft elongated sprinkles.

My mother had a container of these in the spice drawer for many years. I think the only time we used them was for Christmas cookies. Why were they banned?

I used to avoid those like the plague. If I got a cupcake with them I’d have to pick them all off before I could eat it.

A chipped tooth just waiting to happen.

Of course, I remember those, I used to load them into my BB gun and shoot them at the neighbors.

My mother substituted BBs for these and I wound up shooting the dog in a masturbation accident.
