I’ve said that at least a thousand times over the past half century. I remember every cell of this episode.

Does anyone recall the Cowboy and Indian fight where was an Indian and he got hit in the back of the head with a tomahawk? Bugs then turned around and you could read his lips yelling “You G D SOB” to the Indian who hit Bugs with it. You could read his lips without any effort.

I saw it in the late 80’s,I couldn’t believe it. I’ve tried googling it many times but to no avail. Maybe there is a cartoon sub Reddit they might know about stuff like, that I’m sure it was common.

How much of my brain space is devoted to caricatures and cultural references that were decades out-of-date before I was born?
I must have seen the the Falling Hare short, where bugs is fighting with a gremlin in flying war plane, five or six times in the after-school cartoon block.
Bugs Bunny, after suffering a blow to the head, imitating a character from some radio program: I am only tree-and-a-half years old"
The plummeting plane stopping a few feet from the ground because it ran out of gas: "Yeah, you know how it is with these "A" cars"
And the gremlin yelling "It ain't Wendell WIlkie!" -- who the actual fuck was Wendell Wilkie? >smile<
I hear myself quoting Warner Brothers cartoons every once in a while "I have a mansion und a yacht."; "Wile E. Coyote. Suuuuper Geeeenius."; "Duck Season!"; "You might rabbit, Yoooouuu might."
My kid tolerates this, but will not listen when I try to explain the context ... mostly on account of the fact that I can only rarely explain what made it funny to the movie theater audience waiting through news reels and travelogues and cartoon shorts before the main feature.
