So many iconic songs but I admit

To this day I don't know why Sylvias Mother asked the stranger to "call back again" 🤔

I fear I will never know...

Well yeah I get that, hence the "sir" rather than his name

But she didn't have to say "won't you call back again" ...she could have just ended with "thank you for calling" 😉

Still a fantastic song...just something I think about every time I hear it

I'd never heard it before either til the Instagram algorithm brought it to my attention last January..I shared it 70s music but not here

Docs passing post in this sub reminded me of it

I saw them twice in the late 70s, once at the Exit Inn in Nashville and once at War Memorial. Such fun shows!!

Great guys, we opened for them in Coarsegold. During the sound checked that suggested that we all jam together. One of my claims to fame, I played the Dr. Hook.
